Irina Shayk Cried When She Found Out She Was On Cover of 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Monday, February 21st, 2011

Irina Shayk (sometimes credited as Irina Sheik, born Irina Shaykhlislamova (Russian: Ирина Шайхлисламова) appeared on Ellen Degeneres on Friday, February 18th. The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model (born January 6, 1986) was wearing a shimmering skintight peach hued strapless gown. The super short strapless gown showed off the Russian model’s gorgeous long legs.

Her light chocolate brown hair cascaded several inches past her shoulders ending in a soft perimeter wave. She was the picture of sexy glamour. Her hair was parted down the middle with panels of shiny hair nestling around her gorgeous face.

Ellen started her interview by asking the model how to properly pronounce her name. The model said “Irina.” Ellen asked Irina where she was from.  Irina said “I’m from Russia.”

The audience yelled and whistled. Irina laughed at the response and looked into the audience.  She continued “I’m from a very very small tiny village in Russia.  It’s like two hours by flight from Moscow to South or three days by train.” Ellen said “I would fly then.” Ellen asked “and what is name of the town?”

Irina Shayk’s Real Last Russian Name

Irina said “Yemanzhelinsk. It’s kinda like my real last name. Because my real last name is Shaykhlislamova. And everyone thinks it’s a joke because it’s 14 letters, there in my last name and….” Ellen said “spell it for me?” The model gasped “oh my God I don’t know if I can do it.”  She then slowly spelled her last name. Ginnifer Goodwin’s Sexy Short Hair

Sunday, February 20th, 2011

Ginnifer Goodwin was born Jennifer Goodwin on May 22, 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee.   She’s best known as Margene on HBO’s Big Love, the third wife in a Mormon polygamous family. Sadly, this is the last season for Big Love.

The TV and film actress also co-starred in the movies Mona Lisa Smile and He’s Just Not That Into You.  She also appeared in Ramona and Beezus (playing Ramona Quimby’s Aunt Bea), co-starring with John Corbett, Bridget Moynahan, and Selena Gomez.

In 2008, MaxMara honored Goodwin with a “Face of the Future” award, an award recognizing up and coming women in film. Also, Goodwin was one of the celebrities featured in Gap’s Fall 2008 ad campaign.

The adorable vegan actress changed her name from “Jennifer” to “Ginnifer” because that is how she and her family pronounced it in their regional dialect. Her younger sister, Melissa Goodwin, is a stop motion animator on shows such as the Emmy Award-winning Robot Chicken, on which Ginnifer has also appeared as voice talent. (more…)

Cory is living a wild and crazy life which includes a recent Grammy Nomination, a trip to the Super Bowl and a trip to London where he met Prince Harry.  Cory shared some of his latest crazy experiences with Ellen and her audience.

Grammy Nomination For Best Pop Group Vocals

The comedian started the interview by congratulating Cory and the cast of Glee for being nominated for a Grammy for Best Pop Group Vocals. Ellen’s audience started clapping and cheering for Cory at the news about his Grammy nomination.

Cory said to the audience “thank you so much for cheering for me, but we didn’t win.”  Ellen said “it doesn’t matter.  “It doesn’t matter if you won or not.  You got nominated for a Grammy.” Cory told Ellen “it was literally the most shocking experience, to start singing on the show (Glee). Like, I never sang before Glee.  And to be nominated for a Grammy was like “reallllly?” (more…)

NASCAR.COM, the official online destination of NASCAR, announced today that it will be adding an innovative new fantasy game to its stable of live, in-race products. DWTS Will Not Be The Same Without Dancer Derek Hough

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Professional Dancer Derek Hough has decided to leave Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), temporarily, to star in a Hollywood movie.  I for one am very sad since he’s my alltime favorite dancer on the show.  Although he’s only 25 years old, Derek is an incredible dancer.

The platinum blonde lifelong dancer helped Nicole Scherzinger, Brooke Burke and Jennifer Grey take home the coveted mirrorball trophy.   Derek has already started training for the movie by brushing up on his tap dancing.

The 25-year-old told People.com he had already put on about 10lbs of muscle for the upcoming film, ‘which is a lot for me.’   The movie focuses on two dancers embroiled in a Romeo and Juliet-style romance.

Hough will play a New Orleans street dancer who moved to New York and falls for an Asian drummer, played by Korean singer BoA.  Despite being members of rival dance clubs they fall in love – with predictable results.   (more…)

Simple DIY Masks To Fight Wrinkles And Fine Lines

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

Mask #1

This mask is designed to soften facial and neck lines.  Cleanse your face with a pure natural oil,  such as almond, sesame or olive. Rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry. If you prefer, you can use your favorite facial cleanser.

Instructions

Prick a Vitamin E gel cap with a pin to open.  Squeeze the contents of the Vitamin E gel into a clean bowl or cup.  Use a fork to mix the Vitamin E gel with the yolk of an egg.  If possible, use an organic or free range egg.   Use clean fingertips, cotton swabs or balls to apply to the face.  Be sure to avoid the mouth in order not to swallow any of the raw egg mixture.  Also, be sure to wash your fingers with hot water and soap after you have applied the mask.

Apply to the face, especially on the lines around the eyes and any facial laugh lines.  You can also apply the mask to any lines on the neck.  Leave the mask on for at least 15 minutes.  Rinse with warm water.  Pat dry with a clean soft towel.

Do this once a week for several weeks to see a change.

Mask #2

This mask is designed to smooth out fine lines.  Before you start clean face with lukewarm water and the oil of your choice.  If you prefer, you can use your favorite facial cleanser.

Instructions

Dip 2-4 all natural chamomile tea bags (available at health food stores or online) in filtered or bottled boiling water.  Make the tea just as you would as if you were going to drink it.  Allow the tea bags to cool and then squeeze out excess water.

Lie down and apply the cooled tea bags to the eye area.  You may wish to lay a clean towel on your face to catch excess drips.   Allow the tea bags to remain on eyes for 30 to 60 minutes.

Mask #3

Cleanse your face with a pure natural oil,  such as almond, sesame or olive to remove any dirt or grim. Rinse well with lukewarm water and pat dry.

Instructions

Grate a medium raw potato and mix it with two tablespoons of sour cream.  Apply as a mask, leave on for 20 minutes.  Wash off with cool water.  Do this once a week for very best results.

Lovers Massage Oil For Valentine’s Day

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Sometimes the very best gifts are those which show special thought and tender loving care (TLC) and have been custom made.

The following massage oil recipe can easily be made at home.  The ingredients can easily be found at any local health food store or specialty store.

If you want to make your gift especially romantic find a sexy bottle for your mixture and decorate it with a red bow.

[amazon-product text=”Thymes Limited Edition Frasier Fir Red Candle 12 oz / 340 g” type=”text”]B0046HKUUI [/amazon-product]

To create a really special Valentine’s gift, purchase a few red scented candles and include that in your special massage gift package.   Or buy regular red candles and dress them with a few drops of vanilla or Ylang Ylang oil which will set a very loving and relaxed mood.

To really do it up right, consider covering your massage table with red silk or satin sheets and offer to provide the massage right on the spot.  Or if you’re shy, make the oil and include one or more gift certificates for a personal massage.  Let your imagination guide you. (more…)
