Natasha Bedingfield’s Grammy Hair HowTo

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Songbird Natasha Bedingfield looked absolutely stunning on the Red Carpet at Sunday’s 53rd Grammy Awards.  She sparkled in an old fashioned hair style with a contemporary glamorous vibe.   Her platinum blonde strands were expertly tressed by Caile Noble, stylist for Serge Normant at John Frieda in LA.

How To Get Natasha’s Look

Caile began by establishing a low side part and applying a product that would help give the hair some memory and hold (try John Frieda Luxurious Volume Root Booster). He then began blowing out her hair with a small, round boar bristle brush.

Next he took hair in sections with a small barrel curling iron and curled each section the same direction away from Natasha’s face. When finished, he sprayed the curls with a workable hairspray and allowed time for the curls to set and brushed hair out using a flat bristle brush to achieve the glamorous wave.

Softly pulling the hair back, Caile twisted the excess hair into a chignon and secured it in place using large hair pins. He finished with a finishing spray to give the style that ultimate red carpet shine.

Get The Look: Rockin’ Hairstyles at the Grammy Awards from Pureology PureArtists

With a strong influence of the 70’s coming into fashion for the spring, we saw a big resurgence of that flare at last night’s GRAMMY Awards. From soft waves and curls to long, hippie-length hair to simple ponytails, great hair rocked the red carpet.

Pureology PureArtists Natasha Sunshine, April Webster, Darren Pena and Sandra Joseph give their top three hair trends at the GRAMMY Awards and how to achieve these looks:

70’s Waves as worn by Lea Michele and Miranda Lambert

Step 1:   Spray ColourStylist FortifyingHeatSpray throughout hair and layer SilkBodifier and NourishingNectar in as well. Dry completely.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Gorgeous Blonde Haircolor Formula

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn’t have made the Grammy Award’s best-dressed lists without her most important accessory: her beautiful blonde hair!

Tracey Cunningham, Celebrity Colorist and Redken Creative Consultant for Color created this dazzling platinum blonde shade for Gwyneth.

To achieve this color, Tracey applied Redken Color Fusion 8AB at the roots and highlighted with Redken Color Fusion 10AB alternated with Redken Blonde Dimensions Dust-Free Conditioning Lightener.

Redken Color Fusion is a modern, permanent color cream that delivers healthy-looking, multi-dimensional haircolor.

Colorbond Technology infuses Color Fusion’s signature multi-dimensional color with optimum durability, condition and shine.

About Redken
Redken Laboratories, founded in 1960, is a company built from the inspiration of a dynamic, entrepreneurial American actress named Paula Kent.

Frequent chemical services and style changes were routine for any aspiring actress of her day, but Paula was extra sensitive to many of the products used by the hairdressers and make-up artists. She felt continually frustrated that no one could explain why the products were irritating. Necessity is the mother of invention, and Paula realized that working with professional hairdressers, she could help millions of other people also wanting high performance products that were gentle. Kelly Osbourne’s Grammy Hairstyle – Tousled Long Layered Bobstyle

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Kelly Osbourne recently joined the E! Red Carpet Team as a commenter.  Not only has she blossomed as a TV personality, her hair and fashions constantly win points.

At the 2011 Grammy Awards Kelly was front and center with the E! team and expressed her own unique opinions about various celebrities as they strolled the Red Carpet or stopped by to chat.

Kelly looked spectacular in a short Tadashi Shoji layered ruffled design which showcased her amazing body.  It was a fun, flattering, girly and saucy look for the former Dancing With The Stars favorite.

Her buttery blonde hair was a perfect accessory for her magnificent gown.  She wore it in a below-the-shoulder bobstyle known as a LOB or long bob. She had a hint of a side-swept fringe with the edges nestled slightly over her left eye before blending into the rest of her strands.

Kelly’s strands were directed over to one side from a deep side part which was softened by pulling a few strands in opposite directions.

Kelly’s hair was actually a hybrid of a LOB and a layered shaggy style.  Regardless of what category you assign her hair to, her tresses were the perfect style for the design she was wearing.  With such a beautiful design Kelly was wise to keep her tresses simple but elegant.  If her hairstyle had been heavily textured or woven into a dramatic updo, it would have detracted from the gorgeous gown.

Katy Perry’s Long Lush Angelic Grammy Hair

Sunday, February 13th, 2011

Katy Perry arrived on the 2011 Grammy Red Carpets with her new husband Russell Brand and her beloved Grammy.   Katy noted she had made a special cane just for the Red Carpet appearance for her grandmother.

The raven haired songbird and newlywed who performed at the Grammy Awards stopped by to chat with Ryan Seacrest and introduce her beloved Grammy.

The trio were wearing Armani.   Katy explained the famous designer offered to create the Grammy outfits for the trio. Katy’s white gown had what appeared to be wings mounted on the back of her dress.  It was definitely an angelic look for the superstar.

She teased Seacrest and told him that whether she won a Grammy Statue or not she had her Grammy with her and would be taking one home.  Nice play on words.   Katy told Seacrest that being nominated for a Grammy was high praise from your peers and means “that you’re popular.”

Katy wore her long tresses cascading off a center part down past her bare shoulders.  Her strands fell into soft, beachy style waves.  When she performed on stage Katy changed into a saucy short pink dress with a flared skirt decorated with hearts.

Her new husband Russell Brand was the host of last night’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) but hopped a plane in order to be by his new wife’s side.  When Katy was performing on stage she  showed home videos of her recent wedding to Brand on a backdrop.

Although the adorable singer didn’t win a Grammy she won the hearts and souls of her fans with a special song dedicated to Valentine’s Day.
