He listed some of his favorite things including:

1.  Serge loves the hair you wake up with in the morning, especially if it's shoulder length or longer, because it's naturally sexy.

2.  He adores someone with salt and pepper hair, especially is they have a youthful wrinkle free, unlined face.

3.  The superstar hairstylist is a fan of barrettes and chopsticks in the hair accessory department.

4.  One-day dirty hair.  He believes you shouldn't wash your hair like you'd wash dishes.

The leading fashion hairstylist is also well-known for his love of glamorous, healthy and eccentric hair and beauty.

Serge told W Magazine in 2010 that "the biggest mistake women make when it comes to their hair is using too much gel."

He noted "I know frizz is hard, but covering the hair with too much stuff isn’t the answer. I like to look at a woman’s hair and wonder if she’s wearing any product at all."

What Serge Normant hates:

The famous hairstylist hates perms.  He told Allure Magazine "I don't think there are good perms.  When I see the hair with the grown-out roots, I want to take the scissors and cut it off."

He also hates the expression "she looks good for her age."  He counters with "she just looks good period - whether she's 20, 40 or 70.  Her glamour and her personality still shine through."

Celebrity Clientele

Serge is also famous for his work on celebrities such as Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sofia Vergara, Reese Witherspoon, Blake Lively, Julianne Moore, Ellen Pompeo and Elizabeth Hurley.

He also counts supermodels Gisele Bündchen, Iman, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford as clients.
