Depasquale Salon And Spa Successful Fashion Fight For A Cure

The amazingly talented staff of the famed DePasquale Salon and Spa gathered Sunday, October 9th, in Hanover, New Jersey to throw a spectacular beauty and fashion event to raise funds to fight cancer.

This was the second year for The Fashion Fight For A Cure event.  The fund raiser featured a runway competition with five teams from the salon.  The teams competed in a fun-filled mock battle which was designed to add entertainment to worthwhile event.

More than $90,000 was raised to be donated to the Cancer Care Center at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ in honor of Dr. David DePasquale, cousin of Fashion Fight For a Cure founder Justin Depasquale.

Besides honoring Dr. DePasquale, the event was designed to honor everyone who is ever stricken with cancer.  The Fashion Fight event also honored Tatyana Petrushkevich, a long time spa staff member of Despasquale, who recently lost her own battle with cancer.

More than 400 guests and 50 volunteers were there at the sold-out event.  Sponsors including Goldwell, OPI, Little Green, Medi Weightless Clinics and AMA Fight Club were also in attendance.

The five different teams provided their own unique interpretation of hair and beauty categories ranging from futuristic to bridal.  The team which present "Whimsy" was the ultimate winner.  The team models fashions from famed designer Betsey Johnson with whimical hair styles created by Depasquale Creative Designer Emilie Luciana.

A silent auction was held to raise funds.
