New York PS22 Children's Chorus Handpicked By Anne Hathaway To Sing At Academy Awards

On Sunday, February 27th on NBC's Today Show, co-hosts Lester Holt and Jenna Wolfe discussed the children's chorus at PS22 which was hand-picked by co-hostess Anne Hathaway to perform at the Academy Awards.

The chorus is made up of 5th graders and they are being flown across the country by The Academy.  The kids are from Staten Island and are famous for their "huge voices."

Jenna and Lester showed a clip of the children singing and explained the group had performed at the Today Show Christmas Party.

They both agreed it's definitely a lifetime for the kids who are not aware of the significance of their performance.

The co-hosts explained that the kids are excited and think it will be fun, but are so young they are not aware that the Academy Awards are broadcast around the world to literally millions of people in many different countries.  They may not totally realize the magnificent opportunity they have been given.

The children's choir will be singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow.  Jenna and Lester agreed the kids just might steal the show.  They are definitely cute and very talented.

When interviewed about their trip to The Academy Awards some of the members of the chorus said "to go to the Oscars is huge, huge, huge."   They said "it's like you're dreaming."
