Millionaire Matchmaker Says Millionaire Men Prefer Straight Hair

First of all, I'm a big believer that every human on this planet should wear their hair however they love to wear it.  I totally respect people with naturally curly, wavy, textured, kinky or coily hair.  My own hair is naturally wavy with nape level curls.  When my hair, which is currently very long, is medium length it is more curly than wavy.

I would never tell someone to change their hairstyle, hair texture, hair color or length.  But, and this is a big but, I do like to win at whatever challenge I'm opting to undertake.

If I was on Patti Stanger's Millionaire Matchmaker show on Bravo/TV and I was trying to win the millionaire guy, I would wear my hair whatever way Patti suggested.  Even better, I would even volunteer to take Patti's clients and do hair makeovers on them at no charge to help them look their very best.

Am I Selling Out On My Hair?

Does that mean I'm selling out on my natural hair?  Does it mean I'm a wimp who lets someone dictate how I should wear my hair ?  I don't think so.  If someone told me to straighten my hair because I would win a contest that I wanted to win, I would do it.

Of course every person has their limits.  This summer on one of my favorite reality TV shows you could win a lot of points if you shaved your head.  Would I do that?  No, absolutely not.  I've spent close to 25 years growing my hair to my thighs and babying it.  Would I chop it off for a contest?  Nope.  Would I temporarily straighten it to win the attention of someone I wanted to notice me?  Yes.

Please Stop Hating On Patti Stanger

Not everyone would.  I respect that.  But everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs about what they want to do with their hair.

Patti gets hate from some militant hair groups because she tells her women clients her millionaire men prefer straight silky strands that they can run their hands and fingers through.

Why would anyone go to Patti to get her help making a Millionaire Match if they weren't deadly serious about it?  Patti's the expert.  She's being doing matchmaking for a long time and she knows what works and what doesn't.  Why would she give any other advice but what she knows to be true?

If I went to Patti for her expertise I would want her to be brutally honest with me or else we would both be wasting out time.  If I didn't like what she said I could chose not to participate further.  But if I wanted to win whatever I was out to win, I would consider her advice.

Patti Stanger's Advice For Making A Love Match

Any marketing guru understands that sometimes you have to position things to make them more appealing.  Which is exactly what Patti is doing when she tells her clients with naturally curly, wavy or textured hair to wear it straight.

What other advice does Patti give?  In the January 17th 2011 Star Magazine Patti gave the following dos and don't for dating a millionaire:

1.  Primp before a date

Patti told Star "when you're feeling uncentered and unattravied...men can pick up on that energy."  She suggests a relaxing bath or a great self-tanner to get ready.

2.  Don't wear crazy nail polish

The Bravo/TV reality matchmaking star says that "blue and green polish isn't attractive!"  She advises sticking to nude and light-pink lacquers for fingernails.

3.  Get a lift

Patti points out "every girl from 18 to 80 needs a lift."  She suggests that any woman looking for a love connection invest in a good push-up bra to enhance what you've got.

4.  Don't put your hair up

Patti notes "millionaire men tend to like straight, silky blow-dried hair that they can run their hands through."  She suggests that you go ahead and give yourself a blowout.

5.  Do feel confident in your body

Patti says you get sex by "showing off your best body part" and recommends losing weight appropriately.  Patti is putting her money where her mouth is.  She recently lost weight on a weight-loss plan so she could show off her legs in tiny miniskirts.

6.  Don't be caught unprepared

Fresh breath is always important whether on a first date or not.  Patti says "make sure to have kissable breath" before and after every meal.

First impressions are very important and Patti just wants her clients to be successful with the impressions they make.

Pick up the Star issue for January 17th.  One lucky reader will win a trip to L.A. to go shopping with Patti along with cash for a new wardrobe and a two month supply of Patti's weight loss program - Sensa - all worth $5,000.  Hurry, this is a limited opportunity.
