Step 3:  Create deep side part (or other desired part) with a large tooth comb.

Step 4:  Apply a dime or nickel sizes dab of your favorite styling cocktail including mousse, styling cream or gel to damp hair.

Step 5:  Separate hair into two-inch sections.  Blow dry with a 100% boar bristle round brush.  Use the brush to sculpt gentle bend through the fringe area.  For more flow also bend brush to create movement throughout the length.

Step 6: Once hair is 100% dry, glide a 2" flat iron over one-inch sections to create a sleek, smooth finish.

Step 7: Apply a drop or two of shine serum or spray into the palms of your hands.  Rub together and lightly brush over the top of the style to add lots of shimmer.

Step 8: Set your style by misting with soft sculpting hairspray.

More About Shailene Woodley

Born in Simi Valley, California (to Lori and Loni) she has a younger brother, Tanner.

Although her parents are divorced, she claims they still spend the holidays together.

Woodley had her first audition at the age of five, when her model cousin brought her to a talent-call audition. "My mom was like, 'Hey, you want to act today?' and I was like, 'Sure!' And it just kind of happened. I was never forced to do it, and I never forced them to take me to auditions," explained Woodley.

She attended Simi Valley High School. When she was 15 and a freshman, her parents divorced and she was also diagnosed with scoliosis. "We were getting ready to go swimming and I was in a bikini," her best friend then said, "Shai, your spine is weird."

Shailene went to the doctors and was told 2% of the population has it, but not all cases require surgery. She was instead put in a chest-to-hips plastic brace to straighten her spine.

Acting career

In 2002, she appeared in small television roles on Without a Trace and The District. In 2005, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award (YAA) in the Category: Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special—Leading Young Actress for her role in A Place Called Home as California Ford.

She appeared as Felicity Merriman, in Felicity: An American Girl Adventure for which she received a Young Artists award nomination in the Category: Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special (Comedy or Drama). This is one of two TV specials that Woodley appeared in with John Schneider.

She appeared on Crossing Jordan as a young Jordan, as well as other television series including, Everybody Loves Raymond, My Name is Earl, CSI: NY, and Close to Home.

In 2007, Woodley appeared in Cold Case as Sarah Gunden, the murder victim's younger Amish sister, who originally brought the case to the investigators' attention.

What's Next For Shailene Woodley?

In interviews about her role as Amy the beautiful brunette has stated the character she plays is different from who she is as an actress.  She also has said she would probably have handled an unwanted teen pregnancy differently than Amy handled her situation.

The good news?  It's official, Shailene will be back for another season of  The Secret Life of the American Teenager along with all her friends, family and baby daddy.
