Katy Perry was wearing her raven black hair in her trademark full blunt short bangs and Alice Cooper was appropriately tousled. Katy was wearing a gorgeous long sleeved golden floor length Zac Posen gown. Her long slightly waved raven black hair cascaded down around her shoulders. She looked lovely.
The gown appeared to be crafted from a nude fabric that had a sprinkling of well placed golden metallic flowers in all the rights spots. From some views Katy appeared to be partially if not fully naked. No such luck. She was actually completely covered.
Earlier on the Red Carpet Katy told E!'s Ryan Seacrest she was inspired to select the gown because it reminded her of India. Hmmm. Interesting.
Alice started by saying "well the voluptuous Katy and I want you to know that the late great Florence Greenburg the ground breaking force behind the independent label Sceptor Records, has earning The Recording Academy Trustee Award." Alice, such a charming tease after all these years.
Note: During ET Canada's red-carpet coverage, Perry described her look as "Bettie Page Indian Princess."
The camera panned to Mary Jane Greenburg-Goff, Florence Greenburg's daughter in the audience.
Katy said "now I get to stand with this rock icon who taught be everything I ever really needed to know about dressing like a lady. To present the best Grammy Rock album, like Alice here, they all truly rock. And these are the nominees for Best Rock Album. 'Black Ice' by AC/DC, 'Live From Madison Square Garden' Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood, '21st Century Breakdown' Green Day, 'Big Whiskey And The Grougrex King' by the Dave Matthews Band and 'No Line On The Horizon' by U2"
Alice Cooper said "and the Grammy goes to.... and he handed the envelop to Katy who shouted out "Green Day". The crowd went wild with applause.
