Debi Mazar Shares Plans To Move Family To Italy

Debi Mazar recently popped up on The Bonnie Hunt Show to chat with the blonde bombshell talk show hostess (my current favorite just a little ahead of Ellen).

Bonnie introduced Debi by pointing out she had done everything from music videos with Madonna to a film with Martin Scorsese.

Debi appeared on stage wearing her hair brushed completely off her face with each side brushed sleekly back towards the crown and held in place with matching chocolate brown barrette style clips.

The front of chocolate brown hair was parted to the right and brushed across to one side.  The back of her hair which was just slightly below shoulder length fell in a cascade of light waves and flipped softly up at the ends. She wore a sleeveless black dress with silver accessories.  Her skin looked flawless.

Debi greeted Bonnie with a big hug and by pointing out "it's been a very long time" since we've seen each other.  She told Bonnie "I was the Cruella de Ville to your children".  Bonnie agreed  and said "to my movie kids."

Debi repeated Bonnie's comment "her movie kids" at which point Bonnie said "you were always fun and great to be around."

Debi and Bonnie were talking about the film Beethoven's 2nd which was the sequel to Beethoven about the lovable Saint Bernard dog and related adventures.

Debi said "did you now that I invited you a couple of times to have some pasta with me, this is pre-meeting the Italian (Her husband Gabriele Corcos whom she married on March 16, 2002).  It was one of the only great things I could cook."

Bonnie said "how could you invite me and me not know about it?"  Debi said "because we were on the set and I was like 'I'm making pasta come on'  I only actually cooked for the late Chris Penn (a photo of Chris Penn was shown to the audience)."

Bonnie told Debi she had just been talking about "Chris in the morning meeting" because "Chris, we would laugh so hard.  Do you remember when we went white water rafting?  Were you with us?  Debi said "yes."

Bonnie said "Chris and I were in the front of the boat and I never laughed so hard in my entire life and it's so sad when someone that young and so talented..."  Debi said "he was so talented"  Bonnie continued "he passed away and it was so devastating.  Great guy though.  I remember him in Beethoven 2 with that big tree on his head."

Debi "well I loved that we were on a golf course in Mount Washington or Glacier National Park or wherever.  So I did a lot of cooking up there, by myself."

Bonnie said "i was teaching the kids the (Beethoven) movie to play poker."   Debi laughed.  Bonnie said "I'm serious, to this day those kids, they're in their 20s now play poker."  Debi said "I'm sure your are, oh my god."  Bonnie said "I corrupted them."  Debi said "I actually just ran into Ashley Hamilton (Taylor Devereaux on Beethoven 2) on Dancing With The Stars."

Bonnie said "oh, what was it like, what was the experience of being on Dancing With The Stars?"

Debi said "it was incredible I got to meet I got to be a showgirl, I got to be a showgirls, I got to have the fake tan and  which I don't have anymore, thank god.  And the eyelashes and to perform in front of a live orchestra.  It was very difficult.  My partner (Maks) was really tough and really fantastic."

Bonnie "there's you and Max  (a clip of Debi and Max dancing was shown to the audience) but you look phenomenal and I thought you did a great job."

Debi "thank youuuuuuu."  Bonnie continued "we were really cheering for you."

The actress reported "I could barely walk when I would come home."  Bonnie quipped "I've been in that situation myself."

(ABC/Adam Larkey - All Rights Reserved)

Debi "but it was just sad.  I wasn't the worst dancer, that much I know and I wanted to stay in a little bit longer, but I did it until I brand my olives. Life gives you lemons, I got olives, I got a bunch of press out of it for my cooking show and it was great."

Bonnie asked the actress "how was your Thanksgiving?  You do the whole thing or no?"  Debi replied "well here's my Thanksgiving issue. (she took a long swig from her coffee cup)"  Bonnie said "ooohhh ooo, wow she's gotta take a drink."

Debi "I just wish it was real alcohol"

She continued "I love Thanksgiving.  I grew up, my grandmother was always the cook.  Very old fashioned we'd be in Queens and I'd smell it at 7 am, turkey wafting from downstairs, and I loved the whole tradition of setting the table, saying the prayer at Thanksgiving, that one time of the year this prayer book came out."  She paused and for effect said "why today?"

Then Debi said "anyway, but what happened is I married an Italian from Italy and they don't like beige food and everything's beige.  The last two years I tried...I had the turkey, the stuffing and everything.  I made fresh pumpkin pie and I started to cry because he was like..." Debi demonstrated him like he was going to throw up.  She said "but I spent 12 hours cooking, two days shopping and nobody wants to eat? My kids don't like it."

Bonnie said "but look at your little girls" and she showed a photo of Debi's little girls.  Come onnnn.  Deb looks what's happening here in Los Angeles.  I love it."

Debi "I knowwww, I knowwww."

Bonnie said "I'm so happy for you and I'm just, everytime I saw you and you were talking about you met someone, you were getting married."  Debi asked Bonnie for the photo of her two girls.

Bonnie told her "of course you can have" the photo.

Debi noted "this was on my computer yesterday.  I love seeing it blow up." Bonnie said "They're so beautiful.  So you're thinking about moving back to Italy.  Right?"

Debi answered "I have my house on the market here.  You know when life give you lemons and I've got olives.  I've got this ancient farmhouse and my kids.  My 7 year old speaks fluent Italian, the baby's learning and I just feel like...I'm 45 years old and in life when you get these opportunities to go someplace and try something new.  Why not? I can just fly back to work and I want to do it.  I'm excited about it."

Bonnie "oh come on, forget about it.  I think it's great.  It's one of my favorite places (Italy) in the world.  For many of us it is our favorite place.  I feel at home there."

Debi "but here's the thing when you live there.  It's a romantic holiday place to go.  But truthfully when you're there, I'm not fluent yet, so they have these long dramatic conversations and you're like oh my god, can we fix this thing and they're like and you're talking about the child going to college.  And to get something done takes forever because it's ancient and protected and so it's a very very different lifestyle.   I mean, forget about a shoe like this."

She held her leg up to show Bonnie her shoes.  Bonnie said "oh you shaved in a pattern (referring to Debi's shaved legs."  Debi said "yes, I shaved in a pattern, that's right.  Very good."

Debi continued "but it's just that it's very different there, but I think it will be great for my kids and great for a vacation."

Bonnie agreed "they get the best of both worlds.  If you can offer that to your children, it's definitely worth it."

Bonnie then showed a clip of Debi doing a cooking show with her husband.  Bonnie said "I love this.  They did this on the Internet."

In the clip Debi took a pizza out of the oven and then dropped it on the floor and said to the audience 'nice thin crust, John's pizza in New York City, eat your heart out and Nancy Silverton I'm trying to rise to the occasion."  She quipped "it landed face up so it's fine, I'm not to tell anybody, I'm  going to dust off the bottom."

Bonnie said "Debi will cook for us next."

Debi did a cook demonstration for Bonnie and her audience.  She made what she called them "spinach balls" and said the great think about it was that it's easy to make and it disguises vegetables for kids.

After the cooking demo Bonnie said goodbye to her obvious good friend.  It was a great segment with lots of great conversation and laughs.
