Hair Troupe Scheduled To Perform On NBC's Conan O'Brien Tonight Show

On Monday, July 13, 2009, Jeff Goldblum,  Bill Engvall and a musical performance by the cast of "Hair" will shine on NBC's The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

As recently reported in the  media, late night ratings wars have heated up since Conan slipped into the nightly talk show chair on NBC.  Conan is competing for ratings with CBS' long time late night host Dave Letterman.

To really ramp up their ratings, NBC is showcasing the special performance by the complete case of Hair.  The band from the famed Broadway show will also appear with the case.

This performance is unusual because it marks the very first time in Tonight Show history that the complete cast and band of a major Broadway musical production will appear on the NBC late nite program.

It will also be the first musical to be featured since Conan O'Brien took over the hosting duties from Jay Leno.

NBC has reported that the show's director, Diane Paulus, will stage the musical performance specifically for the new set that was custom created for Conan.

Don't forget to set your DVR to capture this historic performance.  If this doesn't send Tonight show ratings soaring - well what will?

Daily Hair Tip
To combat cowlicks apply pomade or setting gel to the spot & blow dry w/ nozzle aimed downwards. Longer hair helps weigh down cowlicks as will tiny barrettes or clips. Pulling hair into a ponytail or braids will tighten down the cowlick. Experiment until you get results.
