The Fashion World as well as the world of Hollywood turns to Philip Pelusi for glossy gorgeous hair on film sets and in print.

Philip has worked with Oprah as a visiting hair guru and regularly contributes to O Magazine.  The hair guru has also worked with many celebrities over the years.  He has told the media "Queen Noor was so incredibly nice and gracious. Also she is extremely beautiful. Diane Lane was so smart, beautiful and had a great energy."

Philip is famous for his amazing haircuts.  He is very talented with all types and textures of hair, but he is also known to be great with natural curls as well as thick, straight and very stubborn hair.  Philip can quickly create hairstyles that generate instant hair envy.   Philip's own personal style icon?  "Andy Warhol for his wonderful sense of style, talent and creative vision."

He was named one of the top 10 haircutters and hair stylists in InStyle magazine. This was added to his accolades as Top Designer of the World by Lo Zeffiro and World Master by the Art and Fashion Group International.  Philip is often quoted as saying "I didn't invent the haircut, I just made it better."

Haircuts at Philip's New York Tela Salon at Arium range from $100 - $300 with Philip costing more depending on a variety of factors. Call for more details if you're interested.  Philip's Tela Salon is a combination of edgy art gallery, cool restaurant, club and hair salon.  It's located in the sizzling hot meatpacking district.  Call the salon at 212-463-8213 to schedule an appointment and for pricing.

When it comes to fashion, Philip is obsessed with "Audrey Hepburn for everything."  He admires Audrey for her "great talent, voice, hair, makeup, style."  Philip really loved her "in Breakfast at Tiffany's and also loved seeing her image back in the recent TV ads."

If Philip could work on any celebrity, dead or alive, it would be "the late Carole Lombard. She was such a great beauty and is one of my favorite comedic actresses of all time."  As far as modern celebrities Philip would love to work with "Julianne Moore for her modern elegance. She is one of our new beauty icons."

Philip doesn't subscribe to the belief that all hot hair trends work for everyone.  He suggests hair consumers "beware of trends that don't look good on everybody. There are many variations of current styles to fit someone's facial shape."

In his spare time, which is limited because he is in such high demand all the time, he loves a "a glass of good red wine and photographing great hairstyles."  The hair guru loves listening to David Byrne and Beethoven.  He also enjoys cappuccino with a little bit of reading to see what's going on in the world.

Whever possible he tries to always make time for jogging.  He also enjoys great French and Italian cheeses and has absolutely no self control.  He also loves jazz, especially the drums.
