Chicago, IL - During the 66th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards hosted by the Publicity Club of Chicago on May 16, 2007, publicist Janice McCafferty received the prestigious Silver Trumpet Award.

Entries were evaluated by a group of top agency executives who selected "the best of the best." Ms. McCafferty submitted her public relation efforts for the CHI Magazine under, "Building Brand Awareness through Print" for the Newsletter or Magazine Category.

The CHI Magazine by Farouk Systems, Inc. received major product placement in the movie, "The Break Up" with a scene showing Jennifer Aniston reading the publication.

In addition, the CHI Magazine has sponsored numerous charity events and Los Angeles Fashion Week in 2006.

Janice McCafferty has served as Farouk Systems' publicist for the past 18 years. With over 25 years of experience in numerous professional markets, Ms. McCafferty has established herself as an eminent public relations consultant for a major professional hair care and nail manufacturers, celebrity stylists, the music industry and the Xenon Foundation.

Daily Hair Tip
To combat cowlicks apply pomade or setting gel to the spot & blow dry w/ nozzle aimed downwards. Longer hair helps weigh down cowlicks as will tiny barrettes or clips. Pulling hair into a ponytail or braids will tighten down the cowlick. Experiment until you get results.
