Robert Downey Jr Leaves 2010 Academy Awards Governor's Ball For Jimmy Kimmel

Robert Downey Jr. showed up with a lot of fanfare a few minutes ago (3/8/2010) with two gorgeous models wearing black evening gowns on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show right after the airing of the 2010 Academy Awards. 

Robert told Jimmy he left the 2010 Academy Awards Governor's Ball, went back to the hotel, had a cheeseburger and then popped over to Jimmy's show.  Robert was fresh off his presenting duties for Original Screenplay with Tina Fey at the 2010 Oscars.

When asked by Jimmy what was his favorite color he said his color "is this powdery blue, teal color" and he tugged on his blue bowtie." Jimmy explained the audience wanted to know one question about Robert and it was what was his favorite color.

When asked, Robert told Jimmy his favorite movie was "Tropic Thunder" because it was such a departure from Iron Man.  He explained that his character was a white man who played an actor who thought he could play a black man.  He told Jimmy his black friends still speak to him even after he did that role which says a lot.

Jimmy asked Robert Downey Jr. if Marvel Comics actually gave him a Bentley because "Iron Man" did so well.  Robert said "yes".

And Harry Winston gave me this lovely watch and to you "six months

mean" and Jimmy agreed and Robert said "that's why I come here."

Jimmy Kimmel showed a fairly long trailer of "Iron Man 2" which Jimmy said comes out in May of 2010.

Robert had praise for co-star Mickey Rourke who Robert said was a method actor in the way of Scorsese and that he would have photos of his dead pets offstage to help him bring up certain emotions.
