Maitland Ward's Gorgeous Hair Secrets

Introduction

Actress Maitland Ward

I first became aware of Maitland when she was still in high school and acting on the The Bold And The Beautiful soap on CBS. As Jessica Forrester for three years, Maitland provided a fresh and very talented presentation.

I was always impressed with her beautiful auburn colored hair. I get lots of email asking me about Maitland's well mannered hair. I recently discovered an interview with Maitland in Seventeen Magazine where Maitland shared her hair care secrets.

Maitland made her prime time TV debut as Rachel McGuide on Boy Meets World. The amazing thing about this is that Maitland was only 17 when she landed the role. It was only her second major audition and Maitland was a junior in high school at the time.

While this is all amazing information, it just fits with Maitland's lifelong passion for acting.

A California native and Aquarian (February 3), Maitland attended Cal State University at Long Beach while continuing to work on her acting career.

If you are a fan, you may remember that Maitland had guest-starring roles on "USA High" and ABC's "Home Improvement".

The actress also co-starred with Jay Thomas and Mario Lopez in the dramatic movie, "Killing Mr. Griffin." She recently completed the independent film, "Dish Dogs," a romantic comedy in which she co-stars with Brian Dennehy, Matthew Lilliard and Sean Astin.

In her spare time, Maitland is involved with various charities and enjoys working out with her personal trainer and doing yoga.

Her hobbies include traveling, collecting antiques and healthy gourmet cooking.

Favorite Hair Care Products

Maitland explained that she is a fan of Phytologie's PhytoCidre (replaced by PhytoCitrus) which is a very gentle shampoo that is excellent for color treated hair. She uses Phytologie's PhytoSesame to give her beautiful locks a super conditioning treatment.

Maitland also uses sculpting products to give her hair volume and definition.
