Kristin Chenoweth's birth name is "Kristi Dawn Chenoweth and she is famous for her spectacular singing voice. The Tony winning Kristin, as she is called professionally, has incredible relative pitch and near-perfect pitch.
Although singing has occupied a large part of her performance career the 4'11" gorgeous blonde (her natural hair color is brunette) has achieved acting success on The West Wing as Annabeth Schott and in movies.
In fact, Kristin effortlessly transitions between stage, television and film with the captivating grace, style and beauty only she can project.
The effervescent actress and songstress was offered a supporting role as Maria Kelly in the movie Bewitched with Nicole Kidman after Nicole stopped by after one of Kristen's performances in "Wicked". The superstar promised Kristen a part in the Bewitched movie "written just for Kristen" and Nicole kept her word.
It has been widely rumored the part of Harriet Hayes in the now defunct Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip TV series (played by Sarah Paulson) was loosely modeled after Kristen.
Recently the multi-talented performer adopted a new sassy short hair style after a much longer history of wearing her highlighted caramel blonde tresses in below-the-shoulder or longer styles.
Kristin also signed to co-star in ABC's highly anticipated new show "Pushing Daisies" as beautiful Olive Snook.
Note: Sadly Pushing Daisies which had a cult following was canceled by ABC.
"Pushing Daisies" was a sizzling series with an unprecedented blend of romance, fantasy and mystery. The show was very original. It was a forensic fairytale about Ned (Lee Pace), a young man with a very special gift.
As a young boy Ned discovered that he can return the dead briefly back to life with just one touch. But his random gift isn’t without deadly consequences… as he soon found out.
For her role as the gorgeous Olive, Kristin was coiffed in a sassy short bob style (shown to the side) with skillfully scissored side-swept bangs that perfectly spotlight her expressive eyes. Kristin has a face shape appears to be mostly square with a very slightly pointed chin.
With Kristin her face shape appears to change with her hairstyle, which is not uncommon for many people.
Her hot short bob was skillfully layered so that the side strands gently flowed around her cheekbones, giving balance to her entire look. Kristin's hair colorist did an amazing job creating perfect highlights which were truly a blonde work of art.
Kristin's Pushing Daisies short bob style extended just below her chin and appeared to have some razoring around the perimeter. The style was perfect for hair which is medium to thick. Tresses which are straight or have some natural texture can also adopt this style with great results.
Steal Kristin's Short Bob
Follow the special Step By Step Instructions below to steal Kristin's gorgeous short blonde bob:
1. To duplicate Kristin's sleek short bob hairstyle start with a precision layered cut that incorporates a sweep of side-swept bangs and lots of volume around the crown.
2. Shampoo hair with a product designed to address your hair's special needs. If you color, highlight or chemically treat your hair like Kristin does, select a shampoo that supports those treatments. If you prefer, use a dilution formula or a conditioning only (CO) treatment. Note: For extra volume around the crown area, try PhytoVolume Shampoo or similar shampoo 3. Apply the appropriate rinse-out conditioners. (Avoid if hair is super thin or fine). 4. Finish with a cool/cold water rinse to close cuticles and encourage natural shine. 5. Towel blot and apply very light cocktail of desired leave-in detangler, conditioner or styling products (firm holding mousse or gel).
6. To showcase the extra volume along the crown or the front fringe area, apply a volumizing product such as PhytoVolume Actif or similar. You can also apply a firm holding or sculpting gel.
7. Blow dry hair using a medium sized boar bristle brush with a blow dryer. If hair is naturally curly or wavy, apply a straightening balm like Phytodefrisant or similar to damp strands. Use a boar's head style paddle brush and separate hair into individual sections.
Note: For detailed tips on how to blow dry hair perfectly straight read Celebrity Hairdresser's Tips: Blow Drying Your Hair 8. After hair is completely dry, use a flat iron iron working on 1-2" sections around the perimeter of the style to add sleekness to the finished style. 9. Spray entire head with a firm holding spray. 10. To get more pronounced fullness around the crown back comb slightly. Work from side to side focusing special attention on the root and crown areas. 11. After hair has the desired shape spray the entire head with another spritz of firm hold hair spray. 12. Use a boar's bristle brush or your fingers to direct all of the hair, except for the front fringe, away from your face towards the back of the head. 13. Finish by lightly backcombing the front fringe area so that it forms a sultry sweep across the forehead. Swipe a tiny bit of shine drops, spray or pomade across the top of the fringe and over the back of the crown.
Finish by adding any desired hair accessories such as skinny jeweled headbands or tiny jeweled bobbies or hair clips.
