Introduction

Emilie de Ravin

Emilie de Ravin had the great fortune of co-starring opposite handsome heartthrob Robert Pattinson in the film "Remember Me". Pattinson made a name for himself in the Twilight series.

Emilie was born December 27, 1981 in Mount Eliza, Victoria, Australia outside of Melbourne. She is of French ancestry. She has studied ballet since the age of nine. She was accepted into the Australian Ballet School at fifteen.

She is best known for her roles as Tess Harding on Roswell and Claire Littleton on the ABC drama Lost.

The actress is also known for her golden blonde tresses which were created for her during the filming of "Remember Me" by renowned colorist Beth Minardi.

For her role in "Remember Me" Minardi interspersed light golden blonde highlights with select strands of light toners.

Highlights were densely placed around Emilie's face creating a framework of shimmering blonde.

To create the gorgeous golden hues she used Vero Lights along with Vero KPAK 9RG mixed with 20 Volume Developer. The final glaze consisted of Vero Chrome G9 to finish with strands of spun gold.

To copy Emilie's lush natural waves complete the steps below:

1. Cleanse hair with desired methodology and with best product for your hair type, texture and condition. 2. Apply rinse-out conditioning product designed for your hair type and texture. Apply conditioner from the top of your ears down to the ends. 3. While hair still has conditioner applied detangle with fingers or a wide tooth hair-friendly comb. 4. Rinse well finishing with a cool or cold water rinse to seal and encourage shine. 5. 3. Towel blot strands, apply desired detangling product and remove and remaining tangles from the ends up to the roots using your fingers or a hair friendly wide tooth comb. 6. Apply defrisant and texture enhancing gel, mousse or cream. 7. Blow dry hair using a long finger diffuser. Work on individual sections that are 2" wide. 8. After drying a section roll it around your fingers and create an invisible roller. Pin to the scalp and allow to dry. 9. Work around the entire head from side to side until all of the sections are dry. 10. Once hair is 100% dry allow hair to completely cool. 11. Before leaving the house remove each invisible roller. 12. Bend over at the waist and tousle with fingers to create natural waves. 13. Touch up any sections which don't contain enough texture. 14. Finish by applying a drop or two of shine serum into the palms of your hands and swipe over the top of the strands.

Career

Emilie de Ravin

Emilie's first major role was a recurring part as Curupira in the TV series Beastmaster. She went on to appear as alien/human hybrid Tess Harding in the teen television series, Roswell. She landed this role one month after moving to Los Angeles at the age of 18.

In 2004 Emilie was cast to portray Claire Littleton on the hit ABC drama Lost.

In answer to if she expected the success of Lost, Emilie said: "It's sort of hard to say. You read something and have a good feeling about it, it sounds great, ties nicely together and then shooting something, editing it, the music, the actors involved, everything sort of plays a huge part. Everyone involved had a great feeling towards it, but you never really know".

Emilie was a series regular for the first four seasons, but did not return as a series regular for the fifth season. She returned as a regular in the sixth and final season.

Emilie de Ravin

In 2005, Emilie was cast to portray Emily Kostich, the heroin-addicted ex-girlfriend of Brendan Frye (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), in the neo-noir film Brick. In an interview about the film, Emilie told that she was attracted by the script because it was original and the teens in the film are very deep and emotional for their age.

A year later, Emilie was cast as Brenda Carter in the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. The film performed well at the box office.

In 2007, Variety reported that she would be starring in the film Ball Don't Lie, which premiered at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival, which arrived in cinemas early 2009. Emilie will appear in William Dear's The Perfect Game, and appeared in the 2009 film Public Enemies as a bank teller named Barbara Patzke.

Emilie was cast in the movie adaption of the video game Onimusha, but due to producer Samuel Hadida's other project The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, and Heath Ledger's death, Hadida was forced to push back the release date of the film.

Onimusha is postponed for an unknown amount of time and there is not any confirmation if de Ravin will continue the project. Emilie filmed Remember Me, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, in the summer of 2009. The film received its wide release on March 12, 2010.
