Diane Kirkup:The Woman Behind The Jewelry

Introduction

My dear friend, Diane Kirkup, is a well-known New Hampshire artist who has designed beautiful jewelry for years. I wear many of her pieces myself, and always get compliments on them. Her designs are innovative, stylish, and affordable. She's been my friend for years, and over those years we have shared a love of jewelry.

When I first met Diane, she was managing her own art gallery in my hometown, Wolfeboro, NH. She sold her own jewelry, paintings, silk kimono tops, and photography, as well as fellow artists' sculptures and paintings.

The gallery was truly a thing of quiet beauty, glowing with soft shades of gemlike color, with lovely and unusual pieces draped in casual splendor everywhere. I bought a huge amber and silver pendant from her, and in speaking with her for five minutes, knew I'd met a kindred spirit. In the years I have known Diane, her jewelry has evolved in ways that match the personal and spiritual journey she has been walking all her life.

We have been friends during times when our pockets were full, and when neither of us had two bucks to rub together. We have laughed and cried together, and are sisters at heart.

The night I had to put down my beloved 17-year-old cat, Billie, she stayed on the phone with me for hours, and her gentle, generous, gracious spirit pulled me through. These days, Diane's studio is in her home in Melvin Village, NH, which is filled with that same peaceful spirit her gallery had. She uses quality components of sterling silver, gold fill, semiprecious stones, imported crystals, and freshwater pearls.

She's been a one-woman show for years now, ordering, creating, assembling, marketing, and selling her own designs.

She regularly travels to stores throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, making it all happen. Once home, she works around the clock making and boxing her creations.

She makes necklaces, chokers, bracelets, and earrings, and has the most fun coming up with and designing completely new jewelry lines.

Conclusion

She is that unusual combination of artist and saleswoman, and is a common sight in the Northeast, wrapped in her trademark red cape, her little white car loaded with bags of samples, with Andrea Bocelli blasting from the speakers. Diane has always given credit for her extraordinary talent to God, and strives to serve others with her gift. We at Hair Boutique look forward to seeing more of her beautiful designs on the site, and we hope you will love them as much as we do.

Note: We apologize that we can not do justice to Diane's gorgeous jewelry in the photos. Although digital cameras have come a long way, they still have further to go.

The Hair Boutique, as always, offers a 100% money back guarantee on any of Diane's jewelry. Warning: once you see it, you never be willing to part with it.
