Celebrity Women's Hairstyles - Women of Entourage - How To Flaunt Their Style

Introduction

L-R Perrey Reeves, Jeremy Piven, Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrera, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, Debi Mazar & Emmanuelle Chriqui at the premiere of HBO's "Entourage" at the El Capitan Theater, Hollywood, CA 05-25-05

HBO's Entourage is gone but will never be completely forgotten.

At least if reruns and the rumored Entourage movie have their way.

When fans think about HBO's hit show they usually think of the five main male characters.

After all, the official Entourage consisted of Vincent Chase, his agent Eric (Kevin Connolly), his brother Johnny "Drama" Chase (Kevin Dillon) and driver, personal assistant and childhood friend Turtle (Jerry Ferrera).

Rounding out the team was Vincent's obnoxious super agent, Ari Gold played by award winning Jeremy Piven.

The HBO show was based around real life experiences of actor Mark Wahlberg when he first moved to Los Angeles.

The Women Of Entourage

Behind every successful man is usually a great woman. Although Entourage cycled through many female guest stars during the show's run, there were three women with ongoing roles. These three included Perrey Reeves, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Debi Mazar.

Perrey Reeves was spectacular as Mrs. Ari Gold and continued to appear in the part until the very last episode aired.

Emmanuelle Chriqui (shree-key) played the long suffering girlfriend (Sloan) of Eric, whose loyalties were always first and foremost to his crew. Emmanuelle left the show temporarily. but returned in 2009 and finally snagged Eric's heart for good along with a big engagement ring. She also was prominent in the final season.

Debi Mazar played an aggressive and foul mouthed press agent. Although Debi doesn't show up often, she's spectacular in the part and made an appearance in the final season of the show.

Of course over the years there have been a large number of women passing through as the girlfriends of Vincent Chase and his crew. Some of the most well-known have included Mandy Moore (as herself), Anna Faris (as herself) as a love interest for Kevin Connolly.

Other female celebrities playing fictional characters over the course of the series has included Bai Ling (Li Lei), Lisa Rinna as an old crush of Johnny's and several other notable female stars.

Perrey Reeves

Perrey Reeves was born in New York City and raised in the countryside of New Hampshire by her academic parents, who preferred not to own a television but rather submerge their children in the vast realms of literature.

Thus, her educational background ranged from years abroad in France and Italy to the Ivy League colleges of the US. Drama studies were what really interested her, however, resulting in her choosing an acting career.

Her interests are as eclectic and diverse as the roles she has played and the life she has led.

A lifelong vegetarian, she finds mental and physical balance in meditation and yoga, which she has faithfully practiced for over a decade.

Perrey has naturally straight strands that are medium to thick. She usually wears her hair to the tops of her shoulders and has beautiful cookies 'n cream highlights with the latest high fashion "rooty" look.

Complete the following steps listed below to copy and flaunt her hairstyle:

Step 1: Shampoo and condition your hair with your normal products designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.

If your hair is highlighted or chemically processed use either a moisture enhanced or color enriched formula. If your hair is dry from chemical processing, consider diluting the shampoo formula to protect your strands.

Shampoo products to try: Phyto - Phytojoba Hydrating Shampoo, PHYTO - Dry Hair System, Phyto - PhytoBrush Shampoo. If you have baby fine or thin hair and wish to build in lush movement and volume use a volume enhancing shampoo.

Skip any rinse-out conditioning products that might make hair too soft and flat. If you must use a rinse-out conditioner, make sure that you limit how much you use and that you concentrate on the middle to the ends. Rinse well with a cool water spray which helps build natural volume and increases shine.

Step 2: Towel blot strands. Do not rub wet hair which is more fragile and can break. Detangle strands from the ends to the roots.

Step 3: Apply your favorite texture enhancing mousse or styling cream. Distribute from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well. If you prefer, mix with a good leave-in conditioner for super shine and softness. To protect against blow drying heat and add body, distribute a leave-in conditioner, mousse or gel from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well.

To achieve lots of fullness and volume apply a volumizing gel or similar products to the roots to get lots of body and movement.

Root volume products to try: Phyto - Phytovolume Actif, PHYTO - Volume System, Phyto - Phytovolume Shampoo).

If your hair tends to frizz or is naturally wavy or curly, you may wish to combine a volume product for the roots with a smoothing serum for the rest of the hair. Anti-Frizz Product to try: Rene Furterer - Control Emulsion Anti-Frizz)

Step 4: Working from side to side and separating hair into 2" sections, use a natural boar's bristle medium sized round brush to lift your tresses up. Direct the air flow from the dryer up the hair shaft to the root. This "ruffles the cuticle" helping to add natural fullness.

If you prefer, bend over at the waist and direct the air flow of the dryer up the hair shaft towards the roots. When hair is 90% dry, bend right side up and work on the hair from the ears down to the ends.

Seal the style by finishing up with a blast of cool air, if possible, from your blow dryer.

Step 5: When hair is completely dry separate into 2" sections and roll with medium to large sized electric rollers. Let rollers cool in the hair. Remove and arrange new waves with fingers. Use a medium barrel curling iron to touch up any sections that are still flat or to roll ends under.

Step 6: Spray the finished style with a good holding hairspray. Hairspray to try: PhytoPro - Instant Hold Spray #15).

Step 7: Apply a tiny drop of shine serum, drops or spray into the palms of your hands. Lightly brush the palms over the top of your style and you are ready to rock. Shine products to try: Phyto - PhytoLisse (Formerly Phytodefrisant RelaxSerum)

If you prefer, you can use a curling iron to turn under the ends a little bit or use a straight iron on selected pieces around the face to give a contrasting texture to the finished look.

Emmanuelle Chriqui

Emmanuelle Chriqui "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" World Premiere 07-12-07

Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan) was as surprised by her call to do the Entourage series.

She has been quoted as saying "you know, Entourage is the biggest surprise of my career. It’s never really been my dream to be on a TV series. But every pilot season, my agent wants me to do something. So this time I said, Okay, look, if I do television, I want to do an HBO show".

Emmanuelle was born in Montreal to parents of mixed heritage. Her parents were French and Jewish Moroccan. Her mother was born in Casablanca and met Emmanuelle's father there when he moved from Rabat as a child.

Although it's hard to believe, Emmanuelle's first language is French. She speaks English with virtually no accent.

The beautiful actress confessed she was a huge Corey Hart fan growing up. She admitted cutting her hair like Corey had and the fact she was a huge tomboy as a kid.

Emmanuelle refused to wear women's clothing for a period of time because she was so much into sports. Obviously that attitude has changed since she is currently considered fashion forward.

I had the good fortune to chat with Emmanuelle's hairdresser a short while ago and she gave me the complete scoop on the lovely Emmanuelle's hair.

Although the actress wore her hair straight or slightly wavy on Entourage, she actually has naturally curly hair that she often supplements with human hair fusion style extensions.

Emmanuelle loves extensions because they weigh down her natural curls giving her lots of beautiful soft wavy texture. Indeed, her long time celebrity hairdresser noted that the actress is perfect for the fusion style human hair extensions.

Complete the following steps listed below to copy and flaunt Emmanuelle's long & lush wavy hairstyle at the world premiere of I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (see above photo).

Step 1: Shampoo and condition your hair with your normal products designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.

If you wear hair extensions like Emmanuelle be sure to use shampoo and conditioning products that support your extension system. When in doubt talk to your hairstylist for advice.

Step 4: Use a long finger diffuser attached to a blow dryer to encourage natural wave formation. Working from side to side and separating hair into 2" sections, let the damp tresses nestle into the bottom of the diffuser letting the air flow naturally dry the hair.

Step 5: When hair is completely dry separate into 2" sections and punch up waves or natural curls with a wide barrel curling iron or Marcel iron.

Step 6: To achieve a tousled look, select random sections of hair around the crown area. Backcomb lightly to create volume and tousle. When finished back combing, smooth top layer over the teased sections using your fingers.

Step 7: Spray the finished style with a good holding hairspray.

Step 8: Apply a tiny drop of shine serum, drops or spray into the palms of your hands. Lightly brush the palms over the top of your style and you are ready to rock.
