Burt's Bees: Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar

Introduction

Burts Bees

Burt's Bees is famous for their fabulous lip balms, lemon cuticle butter and coconut foot cream. Now they are sticking a toe into the hair care world with their new addition of Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar.

Bar shampoos have become a lot more popular over the past few years for a number of reasons. All natural beauty and hair care products have also become popular as well.

Whenever we get a new product at HairBoutique.com we test it to understand how it works. The same was true with the Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar.

Since the bar is advertised to work best with short to medium length hair, we drafted Michael Thayer to be the tester. With his short (he loves it that way) Caesar look, he likes a no muss, no fuss shampoo.

Note: This product may not work for all people and all types of hair. It is not advised for people with long or very long hair.

He complains from time to time about having an itchy scalp and since the Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar has oat protein, vitamin B5 and nettle leaf, it should make a difference.

The bar itself comes in a fabulous green box decorated with the famous photo of Burt and designs of Rosemary leaves.

The soap is almost too pretty to use. It is a perfectly formed bar of fabulous smelling soap with the Burt's Bees Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar imprinted in the front.

Mints & Assorted Herbs

Directions For Use: Simply rub the bar directly on wet hair and work up a lather. Massage the lather into the hair, then rinse and condition if needed. This works best on short to medium length hair.

Ingredients: Vegetable soap, vegetable glycerin, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, yucca shidigera leaf extract, avena sativa (oat) kernel protein, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, urtica dioica (nettle) leaf powder, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, cocos nucifera, coconut oil, panthenol (pro vitamin B5).

Featured Ingredient: Peppermint Oil — This refreshing, reviving, fragrant oil or extract is derived from the Mediterranean peppermint plant. Peppermint herb is valued for its cooling, pain relieving and antiseptic effect in bath. Not tested on animals.

How it Works

This convenient natural shampoo bar is just the thing for short to medium-length hair. Its rich, Yucca lather and Peppermint scent stimulate both your scalp and your senses, while Rosemary oil and Oat Proteins help nourish your hair, leaving it looking shiny and healthy.

Michael's Rating

On my own scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, Michael gave Burt's Bees Peppermint Soap a big giant 10! It will give your scalp a wake-up call. It's advertised as 99.9% natural.
