Hair Tips: Wash Your Hair Without Water - Rene Furterer's Naturia

Recently I had my hair, which is currently holding about 6" below my waist, completely corn rowed by the braiding college where I got my license. My hair was divided into six major tracks and braided from hairline to the nape of my neck. Long "tails" were allowed to cascade down from each cornrow braid.

My long, heavily layered bangs were left unbraided. Yes, it was a little odd to have a layered fringe with a full head of cornrows braids, but it also looked edgy.

Since I normally only wash my long hair once a week, I was a perfect candidate for extended wear braids. My fringe tends to get dirty much faster than the rest of my hair but I have a secret hair weapon in my hair care bag of tricks.

Although I tried many different dry shampoos over the years, including making my own formulations of oat bran, oat mill and corn starch - which is the primary ingredient in the Bumble and Bumble version - I have always loved the Rene Furterer Naturia product.

The downside to my use of home-made cornstarch was the mess. I tend to wear lots of black and no matter how hard I tried, little flakes of cornstarch would make its way to my shoulders giving the false impression that I had dandruff. Bumble and Bumble makes a similar cornstarch version that has added color to match certain hues but it is also very messy and very expensive for a bit of color and cornstarch.

Rene Furterer Naturia Is A No Mess Spray

The reason I adore Rene Furterer Naturia productis because it is in a spray can and comes out very light. It also does not tend to flake white specs all over my clothing or shoulders and it has a heavenly aroma. For some reason I noticed a wonderful tingly feeling to my scalp after I would spritz on the Rene Furterer Naturia product which I use mostly on my fringe and root areas. Yes, I have used it all over my head but normally I only need it for spot cleaning.

Maybe the Rene Furterer Naturia product has such a great tingle is because the formula includes Peppermint Oil and Basil Oil which are both helpful for stimulating hair growth. Regardless, the fresh scent comes from the essential oils which provide a great sensory pleasure.

Rene Furterer Naturia Is Easy To Use

Before you use the Rene Furterer Naturia be sure to shake it really well. It is recommended that you spray your hair from a distance of 15 inches. Leave the product on your hair for approximately 2 minutes. Pat gently with a clean towel to remove excess product. Use a comb or pick to style. It is recommended that the product be used in well-ventilated areas.

Naturia can be used on human hair in extensions. It is not recommended for synthetic hair but to freshen human hair clip-ins or extensions, it works well. When in doubt do a small test on a limited area to see if you like the results.

Many hairdressers use Naturia to add instant volume to hair that has become flat. It also works well for updo styles that require heavy back combing. It is an amazing product in more ways than as a simple dry shampoo.

Most of editors in the fashion world know about this magical product and either use it themselves or recommend it.
