Jennifer Aniston is considered on of the most popular actresses in the United States today.

Born on February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California, Jennifer is famous for her reign on TV's Friends, her marriage to Golden Boy Brad Pitt and yes, her hair.

Although Jennifer (known as Jen to her friends) appeared on the screen in 1990 and made a tiny ripple as Jeannie Bueller in Ferris Bueller, her acting career officially stared when she appeared on Friends in 1994.

Her character Rachel Green was wildly popular with fans and the cast.

Even more significant, Jennifer's hair created a literal panic in 1995 when she appeared on the second season of Friends wearing a sizzling shoulder skimming bob with highlights framing her gorgeous face.

The look, known simply as "The Rachel" after her Friend's character thrust Jennifer into hair icon status along with former icons Louise Brooks (The Bob), Mia Farrow (Rosemary Baby's Boycut), Twiggy (Super Short Mod Crop), Dorothy Hamill (The Wedge) and  Farrah Fawcett (Hair Wings).

Women everywhere flocked to hair salons around the world clutching photos of Jennifer and demanding copycat cuts.

Ultimately Jennifer issued a moratorium to the media regarding interviews about her tresses.  Since Jennifer's career dreams were focused on being remembered for her acting accomplishments the frenzy over her hair became an ongoing challenge for the actress.

Even though Jennifer rarely ever discusses her tresses or hairstyles with the media, even ten years after The Rachel made hair history, her tresses continue to be a major focus of interest by the media around the world.

Many things about Jennifer's hair has been documented in countless publications.  Jennifer's hair texture is coarse with natural waves and some curls.  She fights frizz with a variety of products but has been known to favor Phyto

Female Celebrities Who Love Phytodefrisant along with her other Friend Lisa Kudrow.  Her ex-husband was known to favor the Phyto products as well.

On the irony of the title of her upcoming movie, The Break-Up (2006): "Well, you know. I figured just seize the moment."

"I always say, 'Don't make plans, make options."

"If we can say, 'I loved, and I received a lot of love,' then great. That's enough."

Summary

Of course it doesn't hurt that Uma Thurman is drop dead gorgeous with a graceful long neck, beautiful skin and eyes and a face like Helen of Troy.  However one of her best hair secrets if the fact that she is a long time client of the fabulous Laurent DuFourg (Laurent D).

For an appointment with this hair master you can visit him at his Priv Salon (click here to find phone and contact info) in Los Angeles or New York.  Laurent travels between the two cities every week depending on which celebrity clients he is working with at the time.
