Meet Karg: Goldwell's Artistic Director
Jayne Morehouse/Morehouse Communications
Date: 3/31/2002

New York City

Karg's hair and fashion reflect the moments of our lives during his recent presentation to Intercoiffure in New York City. (All photos courtesy of Goldwell - Copyright - All rights reserved - Goldwell).

"Each moment we are in affects us and how we feel," said Karg, Goldwell's artistic and creative consultant, during a recent presentation to Intercoiffure America/Canada.

"When money is tighter (like it is today), people get more creative with their looks, and they'll be turning to use for ideas and inspiration."  Karg who presented 17 minutes of pure hair and fashion, based his various looks on cuts that were contemporary, very creative and edgy.

Throughout the entire presentation, every detail was coordinated and attended to, including hair, nails, fashions, shoes, accessories, even tattoos.

The presentation featured four segments: Street/Young & Funky, Pure Guys, Young, Sophisticated High Fashion and All American.

Street/Young And Funky

Here, natural texture doesn't matter.

No matter what, it's enhanced and maximized with strong color, hairpieces and hair jewelry.

Pure Guys

Strong, forward styles inspired by the London underground "not the 'pretty boys,' says Karg.

Young, Sophisticated High Fashion

Styles are simple, yet sophisticated, beautiful and flowing.

All American

The finale made a statement of unity.  "The message here is that it doesn't matter who you are, what race you are, what you wear, what color or texture your hair, we all have to stick together,"  says Karg.
