Introduction What does Salon Web have? It would probably be easier to tell you what it doesn't have, because this site has just about everything you could imagine related to hair and salons. This beautifully designed site gets better by the minute and is constantly evolving. Salon Web is one of my regular surfing spots every week. 
I have discovered that if I don't visit Salon Web at least once a week I will miss all kinds of new and cool hair and salon related info. There is no question, the webmaster of Salon Web, Mike Trobee, is one of the emperors of the Net.
Meet Mike Trobee Salon Web was one of the earliest hair sites on the Internet and is one of Mike Trobee's original hair sites (besides All About Hair). Who is Mike Trobee? Besides being one of the most knowledgeable hair experts on the Net, Mike is also one of the most generous and supportive webmasters I have ever dealt with. Mike is an expert in hair chemistry (both product and hair) and marketing. I have learned so much about web mastering hair sites from Mike. I have never met him in person, but have talked to him many times on the phone and in email. He always makes time for me and The Hair Boutique. Mike really does know all about hair. He worked for Nexxus for 8 1/2 years during which time he had a base of approximately 2,500 salons that he was responsible for. He also worked as a regional manager and taught hair classes on color, perming, retailing and product use. If you take a few minutes and fill out the form you will receive a personal email response within 5 days with some custom hair care tips for your hair. While I was evaluating Salon Web for the Hair Link of the Week I decided to go ahead and fill out the online hair analysis form. It was easy to follow and took only a few minutes. I actually had fun filling in the different boxes about my hair. This online questionnaire is a great idea. I look forward to receiving my personalized email response.
Surveys & Polls A fairly new section on Salon Web is the surveys & polls page. The current survey is on the services that you get at a salon. The results are also posted on a separate page so you can check what other people have answered.
Hair Salons This section of the site offers lots of great resources for finding other salon industry sites and news. It provides a list of the upcoming hair shows and a list of other "must see" hair sites. I love to read the featured salon web sites section to see what other salons are up to.
State Listing Of Salons Salon Web provides a wonderful service that lists salons by state. As part of this consumer helpful service, Salon Web offers salons a free web page.
Hair Styles The Hair Styles section includes styles for short, medium and long hair. There is also an excellent article on facial shapes and styles along with movie star hair styles for both men and women. I love flipping through all the different styles to see what is happening in the hair world. Monthly Newsletter Salon Web also offers a monthly newsletter stuffed full of hair care tips. Whew!! I am always amazed by all the great stuff that is packed into each newsletter. The current Salon Web newsletter (which is available from the site) has Robert Gooding's excellent article on hair color which provides some great hair coloring tips for blondes, brunettes and redheads. It is easy to subscribe to the Salon Web email newsletter. Just fill in your email address in the box provided on the top of the Salon Web site and click on the Submit button.
SalonWeb Message Center Salon Web also includes the Message Center board for posting hair topics. I am always a sucker for any type of message boards. So of course the minute I went to the Message Center I had to stop and read all the postings about various hair care topics. SalonWeb also has a Guest Book where guests can post comments that can then be viewed by all in the View Guest Book area.
Other Cool Stuff Salon Web has so many different offerings that it would be impossible to review every single item that is available. Besides all the tips and articles, advice and hair care suggestions is a Miscellaneous section with salon industry reviews, makeup tips, nail care info, hair care product reviews and special info on salon web site design. There is also a section on Cool New Hair Items as well as extensive links to other hair and salon web sites.
