Short Hair: Kylie Minogue Sprouts New Hair Growth
Karen Marie Shelton
Date: 04/15/06

Introduction

Kylie Minogue
4-13-06
AP/Darenote Ltd

Brand new photos of Kylie Minogue have recently been released that show up her super short hair with a sprout of new growth.

The photos were taken of Kylie by her boyfriend, Oliver Martinez and show the beauty looking happy and relaxed.

The media is excited about the photos since they show off a glowing Kylie, who is still undergoing treatment and now has a growing sprout of new hair that gives her a chic short hair look.

Kylie was diagnosed with Cancer in May of 2005 and the photos are taken as a sign that she is recovering her health and growing back her hair.

The popular Aussie songbird was known for her luscious long locks. Kylie Ann Minogue was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on May 28, 1968, the oldest in a family of three children.  Her acting career began with her role as Charlene in the Australian soap opera, Neighbours in 1985.  Kylie, who is a small 5 feet tall, was 17 years old.  Her career over the past 21 years has soared and encompassed a dizzying array of successes, awards and journeys.  She was recently named Australia's sixth-richest entertainer on the annual BRW list.

Many people know of Kylie as a singer rather than an actress.  Ironically, her singing career began as an accident in 1987 when a record company executive heard her sing a rendition of the 1962 hit - The Loco-Motion.

The very popular performer made history when she had more than 20 consecutive top ten hits in the United Kingdom.

She successfully jumped to motion pictures starring in the role of Lola in The Delinquents in 1989 at the age of 21.

Kylie has been nominated for too many awards to mention in one short article.  One noteworthy award she won was the 2004 Grammy for Best Dance Recording for her single "Come Into My World.  She managed to beat Madonna and Cher to take home the Grammy.

Ironically, Kylie wore her hair short and sassy during the time she dated the late Michael Hutchence who was the leadman for INX. Michael was found hanging from a belt tied to a doorknob in a Sydney hotel room in 1997 at the age of 37.  An inquest ruled that MIchael's death was a suicide.

Summary

Up until recently Kylie did not reveal her head to the media after she began undergoing chemo treatments for breast cancer, which was diagnosed in 2005.  She has removed her head coverings for the world to see and looks happy, relaxed and on the road to recovery.
