Cashmere Mafia is a brand new show on ABC that profiles four powerful, successful and wealthy women living in New York City.  The episodes feature the various struggles each woman faces and how they receive support from the other members of the Mafia.

Miranda Otto who I really enjoyed on Lifetime's Starter Wife plays a high powered Chief Operations Officer (COO) whose husband is cheating.  She has been ignoring that little tidbit until her three friends force her to face the truth.  Her reaction?  After confronting her unfaithful husband she decides to get even by taking her own lover.

Although she is already gorgeous, her friends help her spruce up her look to the point that she manages to attract attention from a former lover.  In the end, she decided to remain faithful to her husband, but only after a flirtation with the former lover at a bar.

While I find the show interesting and wicked fun, I am definitely fascinated by the clothing, accessories, shoes, make-up and hairstyles.

Ironically, Miranda's hair on Cashmere Mafia is not all the different from the way she wore it on The Starter Wife when she played Cricket, also a woman dealing with the infidelity of her husband.

In both roles, Miranda has long lush tresses.  The difference with her hairstyles on Cashmere Mafia is the fact that her hair is worn very finished with lots of volume, waves and curls along the perimeter.  In a few scenes she had her hair pinned up in a beautifully finished bun that would fit with a high powered business executive.

Whether she's wearing her strands straightened or wavy, Miranda seems to have a long history of preferring long hair that she wears off-the-face.

Although it is unclear who exactly is responsible for Miranda's stunning hair on Cashmere Mafia, the hairstylists credited for hair on the show include Pamela May, Jeffrey Rebelo and Anthony Veader as co-department head hair stylists, and Diana Sikes as key hairstylist.

Complete The Following Steps:

If you'd like to re-create the lush wavy hairstyle Miranda is wearing on ABC's Cashmere Mafia follow the steps below:

Miranda has a square shaped face with well formed cheekbones and a squared off jaw.  She looks great with hair that is longer which balances her face.

Miranda wears her copper colored hair off her face cascading from a side part.  In some photos she is seen with one side of her hair tucked behind one ear with the other side allowed to caress on cheek ala Veronica Lake.

Step 1:  Shampoo and condition your hair with hair care products designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.  If your hair is chemically highlighted, colored or texturized, remember to use products that honor the special needs of chemically processed strands.

Step 2:  Gently towel blot your hair with a thick towel designed to help absorb moisture.  Avoid rubbing hair vigorously to avoid frizz.  Continue to gently blot hair until all excess moisture is removed.

Step 3:  Mix a cocktail of leave-in conditioner and frizz buster in the palms of your hands.  Apply to damp strands to help keep hair soft and frizz free.

Frizz Fighters to try for naturally curly strands:  Phytodefrisant - Relaxing Baum - 3.3 fl oz (100ml) and John Frieda - Frizz Ease - Original Formula Hair Serum Dropper

Step 4:  Apply a tennis ball size of mousse to the palms of your hands.  Distribute well through damps strands in order to provide just the right balance of moisture and sheen.

Note:  Avoid using gels or similar styling products which will make hair stick and tacky. For a softer, more natural look, stick with mousse or very light cream.

Step 5:  Use a wide toothed comb to detangle gently and make sure that the applied styling products are well distributed.  Make a part and sweep the hair to the side, allowing it to fall over the forehead on one side.

Step 6:  Use a blow dryer along with a medium sized round brush and separate strands into 2" sections in order to achieve uniform blow drying.

Blow-dry hair using the round brush to smooth the top sections while wrapping the brush around the ends to help form loose curls and waves.

Step 7:  When hair is 100% dry, separate strands into 2" strands and use either a medium barrel curling iron or hot rollers to curl hair.  After each section has been curled, pin newly created curls against scalp to completely cool.

Step 8:  Once all of the pinned curls are completely cool, spritz lightly with hairspray.  Allow the spray to dry.  Unpin one curl at a time.  Use a boar's bristle brush to deconstruct curls and arrange them into a sleek style with perimeter curls or use fingers to tousle and arrange.

Step 9:  Apply a shine serum and carefully brush over the top of the hairstyle.

Step 10:  Spray well with soft hold hairspray.
