General Blow Dryer Tips

1.  The most common non-blower dryer tools used for blow drying hair include brushes, combs, fingers, clips, rollers and bobby pins.
2.  Brushes come in all sizes and shapes.  The size, shape and bristle of a brush will ultimately determine the outcome of the blow drying techniques.
3.  The larger the brush, the larger the resulting curl.
4.  Round brushes shape and add body.
5.  Paddle and flat brushes straighten.
6.  Consumers often make the mistake of blow drying with dirty tools.  Always wash brushes, combs, clips and pins on a regular basis.
7.  Some blow dryers come with add-on attachment such as air concentrators and/or diffusers.
8.  Cool air set the ultimate shape of the hair and will close the cuticle.
9.  Depending on the professional hair dresser different techniques are recommended.
10.  Professional hairdressers and consumers will tend to blow dry hair differently.
11.  Cowlicks can be controlled with the help of a blow dryer.  Hold cow lick section down with fingers directing air flow of the blow dryer down the shaft of the hair.
12.  Use brush to anchor hair so hair will not puff up.
