Hot Long Hair Video Review
Dave Decker
Date: 2/2/2001

Introduction

If you have long hair, yet you aren't entirely happy with your ability to style your hair, this video may well be for you.

In this 40-minute videotaped presentation, Richard Parrish, a hairstylist with more than thirty years of experience, shares a number of helpful styling tips and ideas with six women, from their teens to their thirties, who have a variety of lengths and textures of hair -- from just below shoulder-length to lower-back-length, from fine to thick, and from straight to curly.

The key to great-looking hair, according to Richard Parrish, is to work with your hair's natural tendencies.

The basic issues are:

  • How do I control my hair?

  • How do I change it from day to evening?

  • What products should I use?

  • What are the basic tools I need?

As Richard works with each model, he gives a series of additional helpful tips to help set the hair using rollers for fine hair to give it extra body and fullness.

Richard describes when the uses of gel, hairspray and water are appropriate, and how, when and where to apply them.  He describes different ways to use rollers to set the hair, which vary depending on the desired outcome.  He demonstrates how to use the blow dryer for best results, and he shows a variety of easy-to-do ways to style long hair, with emphasis on simple twisting techniques for naturally curly hair.

This easy-to-watch videotape offers something for all women with long hair who are looking for help with styling their hair.  The result of these uncomplicated styling efforts?  Hair that is classic, elegant, and playful -- appropriate for school, work, or evening -- definitely hot long hair!
