Calendula Cream is the great homeopathic antiseptic.  Is is great for soothing cuts, burns, sore scalps, aching hair roots or irritation around the hairline.  It's an antihistamine, anti-inflammatory and immune system stimulant.

3.  Self Heal Cream
Self Heal Cream is based on the properties of the prunella vulgaris herb.  It belongs to the Labiate family.  it was first used back in medieval times.  T

he cream works to awaken the body's inner healing forces helping to heal burns (sun burns or chemical related hair burns), cuts, scratches, rashes and wounds. 

It is a general skin cream and has therapeutic and regenerative properties.  It can be use alone or mixed with essential oils, tinctures or a range of Bach or related flower essences.  It can be applied directly to the scalp or roots of the hair as well as around the hairline.

4.  Bach Flower Rescue Remedy
Available in drops or as a cream, this product was developed by Dr. Bach is useful in emergencies where immediate relief is desired. 

It restore balance and it has the ability to help with any type of trauma or stress.  The drops can be taken orally or applied directly to the scalp or the hair.

I have actually added a few drops of Rescue Remedy to my custom make scalp and hair oils to reap the special healing benefits of the flowers.  You can also use the product in the cream version and apply it topically to the scalp, roots or around the hairline. 

It would help with burns, cuts or any type of trauma to the hair, roots or scalp.  In many ways it can also help with stress related problems.  Therefore if your hair is suffering from stress related issues you can try this remedy used around the world.

5.  Arnica
This is a famous homeopathy remedy which may be taken orally via pellets or with a salve applied to the traumatized areas such as the scalp or hairline around the face.  It can help reduce swelling and is very effective in reducing red and irritation following painful hair treatments. 

It could be used to help reduce the pain and welling of hair weaves pulled too tightly or braids causing the scalp to throb or be irritated, red or sore. 

As a cream it can be mixed with cypress and neroli oils to help healing and applied directly to the sore areas of the scalp or along the hairline or back of the nedk.

Many people believe that consistent and daily use of lavender oil will help to slow or stop hair loss and promote faster hair growth.  This has not been scientifically proven but is a common belief.

Lavender Oil For Scalp Irritations

Lavender oil is an insect repellent and will ease the discomfort of a sun burnt scalp or hairline.  It will also help the roots to relax which assists in the necessary blood flow from the body to the roots and the scalp.  On an emotional level it's good for easing depression, nervous headaches, exhaustion and general panic.

Remember that a little bit goes a long way.  Apply 1-2 drops directly to the irritated or burnt areas or mix into a soothing career oil such as jojoba, almond or coconut oil.  It is safe to apply the oil directly to the effected area but if you are unsure you can also mix it.

7.  Aloe Vera Gel
Not only will Aloe Vera heal the skin, it presents a cooling alternative to heavier creams and lotions. While you can always break off the leaf of a real aloe vera plant and apply the salve directly to your roots and scalp, it can be messier than if you buy a 100% pure aloe vera gel, preferably organic. 

Aloe Vera Gel should be stored in the refrigerator, after opening, and offers an instant cooling of scalp, hairline or related burns.  A little bit goes a long way and it will offer instant calming of irritated skin.

8.  Peppermint Oil
This essential oil from the Labiatae family is a great antiseptic, analgesic and disinfectant. 

It's a cleansing and cooling oil which can treat scalp acne, dermatitis and similar.  It can be used directly or mixed with a carrier oil such as jojoba, almond, sesame or coconut.

9.  Tea Tree Oil
If all homeopathic pellets and creams fail and essential oils or other natural treatments don't seem to work, tea tree oil will often do the trick. 

It is known as Melaleuca Alternifolia and it is antiseptic, antiviral, antiinfectious, antifugal, bactericidal and can be used as a great insecticide.  Apply it to dandruff, scalp sores, scabs or pimples and to any scalp cuts or irritations.
