Nicole Scherzinger offers a classic example of a sexy long prom hair style which is easy to re-create at home or with the help of a hair pro.
The famous front lady for the amazing Pussycat Dolls sizzled on Season 10 of Dancing With The Stars (DWTS). She showcased her gorgeous raven black hair spun into a range of sassy, sensual long hair styles as she danced her way to win the competition.
She also wowed fans in December of 2009 and 2010 with her long lush hairstyles as a celebrity judge on NBC's reality TV show, The Sing-Off.
Enhance Your Length With Semi, Perm or Clip-in Hair Extensions
Celebrity Hairstylist Robert Hallowell has worked with Nicole when she appeared on NBC's "The Sing Off". He reported her gorgeous hair is "100% hers." Although she had her own on-set stylist for the 2010 Sing-Off series, Robert noted that her hair looked as gorgeous as ever.
If your hair isn't as long as Nicole's you can easily supplement with perm, semi-perm or clip-in hair extensions. There's no reason why you couldn't extend your own length to achieve lush long sensual tresses.
Instead of committing to a full head of hair extensions applications, you also have the option to simply enhance a particular style or color with a modest number of extension strands which are strategically placed throughout.
Barely There Waves Works With An Ornate Gown
Wearing your hair down and cascading off a center or side part with barely-there waves will look gorgeous without drawing attention away from any ornate gown.
When you slide into a Prom gown embellished with shimmering sequins, beads or other bling, it's always best to downplay your hair.
Nicole's long seductive hairstyle is a perfect match for her ornate white gown, If you want to jazz up your hair a bit, do as Nicole did and add a medium sized flower over one ear to contrast your hair and complement your gown.
Steal Nicole's Sexy Long Prom Hair Style
This style is best for hair which is naturally straight or has light natural waves and/or loose curls.
Follow the steps below to re-create Nicole's gorgeous hairstyle.
1. Cleanse your hair according to your normal routine
(Diluted Shampoo, Water Only, Conditioner Only). For added
fullness use a volumizing shampoo.
8. When hair is completely cool, right before
leaving the house, unpin the barrel curls one at a time.
Bend over at the waist and shake curls loose. Arrange
with your finger. Gently tug the new curls to
loosen slightly. Touch up any sections with a large
barrel curling iron.
Instead of pinning hair into barrel curls you can get a more defined curl by using hot rollers. Remember the larger the roller, the larger the curl. The smaller the curler, the tighter the finished ringlet. With hot rollers, size definitely matters.
Always experiment with your Prom hair look at least two times before your actual Prom night.
One of the great advantages of long hair is how it can be easily dressed up to the max or worn in a more relaxed, sultry style dressed up with waves and gentle ringlets like Nicole Scherzinger showcased on Season 10 of Dancing With The Starts (DWTS).
Nicole also showed off some amazing long loose sexy waves and curls when she was dancing with The Dolls and for her various judging gigs on The Sing-Off.
Nothing looks sexier than swinging long loose waves and curls as you sway with your favorite guy at Prom.
