4/25/01 - 5/02/01 Hair Trivia Answer: 17 year old actor Patrick Fugit was required to have hair extensions applied JUST to audition for his role in the Almost Famous movie about rock and roll wannabe writer William Miller, a teen journalist for Rolling Stone Magazine. Even though Patrick endured 3 hours of hair application with no guarantees that he would snag the role (he did) he decided that it was worth it to meet writer-director Cameron Crowe.
