Houston, TX - Farouk Systems, Inc. for the third year in a row is the proud sponsor of the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant. As the official hair care sponsor, Farouk Systems and their international team of hairstylists traveled to Mexico City, Mexico to create each contestant’s winning hairstyle.

Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from 77 countries around the world competed in three categories: swimsuit; evening gown; and personality interview. Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006, crowned 20 year old Riyo Mori (Miss Japan), as MISS UNIVERSE® 2007 The two-hour primetime telecast direct from the Auditiro Nacional was seen before an estimated worldwide viewing audience of more than 1 billion in over 170 countries.

As the official hair care sponsor, Farouk Systems, Inc. supplied products, styling tools and hair stylists for all the delegates, celebrity judges and on-air hosts Vanessa Minnillo and Mario Lopez.

Our international hair styling teams were on hand 4 weeks prior to the live broadcast. They assumed the responsibility for all the delegates’ hair needs for each pre-taped segment.

On the day of the pageant, Founder and Chairman of Farouk Systems, Mr. Farouk Shami surprised all the contestants when he picked up his Million Dollar Diamond CHI Ceramic Flat Iron and showed each girl how to straighten or curl their hair with this top selling tool. The Million Dollar CHI Ceramic Flat Iron previewed at a 2007 Oscar Gifting Suite and the 2007 Miss USA.

The newly crowned Miss Universe, Riyo Mori (Miss Japan) will receive a one year supply of products and tools from Farouk Systems as part of her lavish prize package.

Please note that many other hair stylists and hair care manufacturers might seek the claim that their products were used prior to the Miss Universe Pageant. However, each delegate arrives one month prior to the actual live broadcast. Farouk Systems and their team of hairdressers performed all the necessary touch-ups, styling and/or cutting for all the actual live broadcasting using Farouk Systems products!
