We
Want Atlanta Buzzing … About You!
ATLANTA
- A group of Atlanta women have entered a new publishing venture.
The DryerBuzz, a new magazine distributed to hair salons and
on the Internet, is being published out of Atlanta and is receiving
rave reviews by the salon industry.
It can be found on the World Wide Web at
www.dryerbuzz.com.
The
DryerBuzz is growing to a consumer magazine covering entertainment,
local information, and news conducive to the uniqueness of African
American Women.
It features writers of local and surrounding areas, as well
as talented artists and photographers.
With a unique marketing plan, the DryerBuzz will reach its
readers where they are – UNDER THE DRYER – the only place a
woman can sit for forty-five minutes with nothing to do but read.
Perhaps the most innovative feature of this
magazine will be its free distribution to hair salons and its
interactive website.
Additionally, it will be sponsor supported and free for
readers, unlike most of the mainstream magazines, which simply use
their websites to promote their print editions and charge for
subscriptions.
The most recent issue features a cover review
story on Will Smith and Bow Wow breaking records with their summer
movies.
In addition to our cover story, each issue will feature our
foremost articles including Words To My Sisters, Living Atlanta
Style, Inside Atlanta Radio, The Cut – News and Information, and
The Short Buzz – Entertainment Briefs.
Additionally each issue will highlight a local salon and
winner of a makeover, free hair care products, and gifts from our
sponsor.
In between publications, DryerBuzz offers Atlanta Events
opt-in Email Broadcasts to keep our readers buzzing about DryerBuzz
and our sponsors.
Editor Yalanda Lattimore is an Atlanta Native, has
always been very involved, and in-the-know about Atlanta.
Publishing community newsletter for the last ten years, her
grass roots communication efforts and involvement has taken her to
the airwaves in Atlanta at former WIGO and lately the Internet
working alongside Ken “Spider” Webb of New York with his venture
Webb Internet Radio, where she has served as producer and co-host of
the first live Internet Morning Show.
Now she is turning her attention back to Atlanta and
spreading the buzz.
The
DryerBuzz will publish online for July and August and hit salons in
September.
Advertising and sponsorship is available.
