Aromatherapy : The Complete Guide to Plant and Flower Essences for Health and Beauty

Aromatherapy : The Complete Guide to Plant and Flower Essences for Health and Beauty

by Daniele Ryman

(Currently out of print but used copies are available through Amazon.com).

This book is written by an international authority on Aromatherapy. It is wonderful. What I loved most about this book is that I found several new recipes for using oils to assist with hair loss, alopecia, folliculitis and general hair problems. Most of the recipes I had never heard of before. I did try two of the milder recipes to see the impact on my scalp. Both gave me a great tingle. This means that the oils cranked up my circulation.

I can't promise that any of her recipes will work for you. But I think they are helpful and do provide some sort of results. I especially liked the recipe using Bay. I had never heard of this use before but it makes a lot of sense.

I think it is fair to say that this is one of the most definitive guides around to the use of aromatherapy as self help for therapeutic reasons. This book is packed with information on over 80 different essential oils.

Even better....the different physical problems are listed in the index. I was able to scope out all the hair remedies immediately.

Daniele gives two excellent pages of detailed information about hair problems. She explains how and why essential oils are extremely helpful in hair care since they can influence the sebaceous glands and normalize their important functions for ealthy, growing hair.

She lists the best oils for hair problems and these include bay, cade, cedarwood, horseradish, laurel, sage, chamomile, nettle, rosemary, clary sage, patchouli and ylang ylang.

This book is exceptional. I highly recommend it. I bought one of the last copies that Amazon.com had. It was my lucky day.

Enjoy!
