Grow Hair in 12 Weeks : The Natural, Healthy Way to Save What You Have and Restore What You Don't in Less Than 1 Hour a Week

Grow Hair in 12 Weeks : The Natural, Healthy Way to Save What You Have and Restore What You Don't in Less Than 1 Hour a Week

by Riquette Hofstein, Sallie Batson

This is one of the books that is near and dear to my heart and I recommend it strongly. I bought this book when it first came out back in 1992. In fact, I bought the hard copy because I had to have the book.

As I have mentioned in other reviews on this site, I had a scary period a few years ago when I lost a bunch of my hair due to dieting on the popular liquid fast programs. I actually have used all of the recipes in this book to improve the growth rate of my hair.

I can not promise it will work for you. I can tell you that I noticed a difference. Hofstein's book has a home recipe that uses Basil Oil. Actually she provides a list of ingredients that will stimulate hair growth. I had never heard about Basil Oil before. So I immediately searched until I found it at the local health food store. I tried the recipes and I noticed an immediate tingle in my scalp. I also noticed that my hair seemed to respond in other ways. I personally felt that it was helping to grow my hair.

I eventually recovered from the diet induced weight loss trauma. Now my hair is once again thick and full and down below my waist. However, I still use a little Basil Oil in my monthly scalp massage. Hofstein also uses ingredients like vodka and white pepper. I tried the vodka and also noticed a tingle.

Her book involved a lot of new ingredients that you may have to search for. She also gives you a lot of treatment suggestions but promises in her book that if you even have a little fuzz left on your head she will help you grow hair. I don't doubt her promises.

I will warn you to proceed at your own risk. However, I personally had good luck with the book and I do recommend it.

Enjoy!
