Wash Your Hair With Whipped Cream : And Hundreds More Offbeat Uses for Even More Brand-Name Products

Wash Your Hair With Whipped Cream : And Hundreds More Offbeat Uses for Even More Brand-Name Products

by Joey Green

I actually found this book in the area of the bookstore that had books on painting and wallpapering. I saw the title and stopped cold in my tracks. I had never heard of washing hair with whipped cream. So of course I had to stop and look at the book. Then I could not put it down. There is lots of interesting stuff in the book related to alternative hair care.

The author's first book was titled Paint Your House with Powdered Milk and Polish Your Furniture with Panty Hose.

Well I bought the book home and I actually tried a few of his interesting suggestions. Yes, he really tells you to use whipped cream on your hair. The title of the book is a little misleading. The author recommends that you use the whipped cream on your hair as a conditioner. He even gives the recipe. He also recommends Alberto VO5 for use when coloring your hair, Miracle Whip for hair and face conditioners and Tang as a shampoo. Supposedly the citric acid in the Tang will cut through oily, greasy hair. Who knows. It might be a great idea. Since I don't have oily or greasy hair I won't be trying the Tang trick.

I had known for years that Miracle Whip works great as a conditioner. So I tried the whipped cream. It actually did make my hair softer. It felt kind of sticky and gooey. But so does Miracle Whip.

This book has lots of interesting and bizarre stories about common products. There are several uses for whipped cream besides using it as a conditioner.

I would recommend this book. It has looks of tips and helpful hints for all kinds of life events.
