Looking Great : Daytime Television Star Linda Dano Shares Her Fashion, Beauty, and Style Secrets to Help You Look Your Best

Looking Great : Daytime Television Star Linda Dano Shares Her Fashion, Beauty, and Style Secrets to Help You Look Your Best

by Linda Dano, Anne Kyle

Linda Dano is also known and loved as Felicia Gallant on NBC's Another World soap opera. She has teamed up with Anne Kyle to share her love of fashion and style with her fans and readers. This 199 page book has 10 pages devoted to hair care issues. Linda does share some good hair care tips. She talks about her own hairdresser on Another World. She also talks about how important it is to remember that there will be some days when your hair will just insist on doing what it wants to do. When that happens Linda advises you to just let your hair be where it is on that day. That is pretty cool advice from a big Emmy award winning television star. I was impressed.

Linda also gives some great tips on how to find the best hair stylist for you. She points out that you should always visit the stylist the first time with your hair in its most natural state. I had never really stopped to think about this before, but it is really good advice.

The hair section talks about getting a great cut, and hair tools such as brushes, blow dryers, curling irons, hot rollers and hair straighteners. It is all very practical suggestions.

Ms. Dano's book is upbeat and practical and has lots of great tips and ideas. After reading it you realize that you can look as good and realistic as you want to without a lot of fuss and muss. It also proves that you don't have to spend a fortune looking great.

I recommend this book. It is a good no-nonsense beauty book that doesn't lead you down the garden path or make promises it can't keep.
