The Art of Makeup

More The Art of Makeup

by Kevyn Aucoin

First I have to warn you that there is almost nothing about hair in this book. Yes, every one of the gorgeous models and celebrities have hair in the photos, but that is it. However, this book is so stunning and beautiful to look at that I could not resist adding it to out recommended list of books.

Aucoin presents a coffee table book with over 170 pages of stunning portraits of the supermodels and the stars. This book has 135 full-color photos which includes the following portraits: Tori Amos, Christie Brinkley, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Audrey Hepburn, Whitney Houston (with long hair), Angelica Huston, Janet Jackson, Grace Jones, Jessica Lange, Annie Lennox, Andie MacDowell, Kristen McMenamy, Polly Mellen, Liza Minnelli, Demi Moore (with blonde highlights), Mary Tyler Moore, Kate Moss, Paloma Picasso, Paulinam, Dolly Parton, Roseanne, Diana Ross, Isabella Rossellini, Susan Saradon, Claudia, Brooke Shields, Jenny Shimizu, Barbara Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, Uma Thurman, Christy Turlington, Tina Turner and Raquel Welch.

If you get tired of looking at these gorgeous women or the makeover photos of lesser known models, you can read Aucoin's timeless beauty tips, the most common beauty mistakes that women make and the four basic makeup combinations.

If you love makeup or you love photos of supermodels and celebrities at their best, this is the book for you.

Daily Hair Tip
Always detangle wet hair with a good quality hair pick or wide toothed comb. Make sure the pick or comb's "teeth" are smooth to prevent snagging or ripping of delicate wet hair.
