Natural Beauty for All Seasons : More Than 250 Simple Recipes and Gift-Giving Ideas for Year-Round Beauty

Natural Beauty for All Seasons : More Than 250 Simple Recipes and Gift-Giving Ideas for Year-Round Beauty

by Janice Cox, Dorothy Reinbardt (Illustrator)

I personally loved Janice's first book, Natural Beauty at Home (please see my review). So I was very excited when I found her second book, natural Beauty for All Seasons. Janice does a great job of organizing beauty care by seasons. While this is a general all purpose beauty book, once again Janice offers great hair information. My personal favorite hair recipes include:

  • Summer Braid Gel
  • Conditioning Hair pack (I love the avocado)
  • Hair Conditioning Clay (what a great tingle)
  • Lavender Hair Conditioner (fresh lavendar is the great)

Besides giving me lots of great new hair recipes, Janice shared several great gift ideas. I just wish I had more time to make the gifts that sound so simple, yet very special. The book presents more than 50 sophisticated gift-giving ideas for holidays throughout the year.

I am definitely going to give her Reunion Basket gift to my sister for her birthday (I hope she is not reading this review). The gift basked includes French green clay mask (so refreshing), foaming Bath Salts, Banana Hair Conditioner and the appropriate pins, rollers and setting devices. I just adore the banana hair conditioner. It was so surprising that a woman with all thumbs like me could assemble such a cool and heartfelt gift.

If you liked Janice's first book....you will love her second book. I bought several copies to give as gifts.

This is a charming book that will give you just a warm fuzzy feeling.

Enjoy!

Daily Hair Tip
Always detangle wet hair with a good quality hair pick or wide toothed comb. Make sure the pick or comb's "teeth" are smooth to prevent snagging or ripping of delicate wet hair.
