I have always been intrigued by the beauty practices of Eastern cultures.
The Japanese are of special interest to me because of their delicate complexions and
gleaming hair.
When I discovered Ms. Leigh's new book on east-west beauty practices, I
could not resist buying the book. I was impressed with the book almost from the first
chapter. Michelle is obviously an expert on Japanese and Oriental beauty care.
She takes a lot of time explaining all the various ingredients that are
used in Japanese beauty rituals. Michelle also provides an excellent Japanese health and
beauty resource and service guide in the back of this 250 page book.
While Ms. Leigh's book is definitely a beauty book and not a hair book,
she does include some wonderful Oriental hair care tips that can be adopted by any woman
from any culture. I enjoyed some of her recipes and suggestions and tried them on my hair
with good results.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for new ways and new
appreciation of beauty and hair care.
