Natural Afro Hair Styles FroHawk

Natural Afro Hair Styles FroHawk

One natural hair style which is growing in popularity is the FroHawk which is a combination of  traditional Mohawk with an Afro which is also known as a Fro.  The result is known as a FroHawk.

The beauty of the FroHawk is that with the proper hair length and texture this natural hair style can be worn without cutting, trimming or buzzing the sides of the head which frame the traditional Mohawk.

With a FroHawk the hair on the sides can be slicked back, flattened into a twist, braided into tight cornrows or simply pulled back.

The key with a FroHawk is to create definition of the top.  When the sides are slicked back, pulled up, braided or twisted, it helps create a dramatic contrast with the top of the hair which normally extends from the hairline to the crown or the nape of the neck.

Each FroHawk will look different than every other FroHawk because of the varying lengths of the hair on the sides and the tops.  Depending upon the goal of the wearer, a FroHawk can be worn with dramatic separation or blended together for a more conservative look.

FroHawks can be decorated with contrasting highlights and low lights applied either to the sides or the top.  For an even more dramatic look it can be applied to all of the hair.

FroHawks created on tightly kinked hair can be stunning because the hair can remain in it's natural curl formation.  FroHawks can be spotted on celebrities of all races, ages and cultures.  Men as well as women love the FroHawk.

The FroHawk has transcended all hair types and genres.  It is a prime example of a natural hair style that can range from modest to dramatic, edgy to flirty, sassy to sexy.  Even better, the only thing limiting a natural FroHawk if your imagination since FroHawks can be amped up with clip-in or fusion extensions.  Of course weaves are also an option.
