Beyonce's 'Single Ladies Put A Ring On It' Wins First Grammy For 2010

The first Grammy of the evening was for Song of The Year.  Beyonce's hit 'Put A Ring On It' beat out Lady Gaga for Song of The Year.  This was right after Lady Gaga's incredible duet with Elton John.

Stephen Colbert was the presenter for the first award and teased JayZ about his new iTablet.  He pulled it out of his jacket to read the list of nominees.

The nominees for Best Song were Lady Gaga for 'Poker Face", Maxwell's 'Pretty Face', Beyonce's 'Single Ladies Put A Ring On It', 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon and Taylor Swift's 'You Belong With Me."

Lady Gaga watched from offstage and was very gracious when her 'Poker Face' lost to Beyonce.  She smiled and applauded.

When it was announced that Beyonce's song won three of her producers/songwriters went up on stage.

Beyonce did not show up on stage to accept the Grammy.  "First off I want to say that Beyonce couldn't be here to accept this award because she's getting ready for a fabulous performance. So lets get ready for that."

The music cut on after just a few minutes and the acceptance speech was cut very short.

What a way to kick off the night for Beyonce to win the first Grammy of 2010.

Daily Hair Tip
When towel drying wet hair never rub hair roughly or twist up into a towel. This will potentially damage delicate hair cuticles. Instead carefully blot hair with superabsortant towel and squeeze hair gently to remove moisture.
