Dexter's Michael C. Hall Undergoing Cancer Treatments

I was shocked, saddened and then relieved to read the latest news on "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall.  I have been following Michael C. Hall from the time he starred on "Six Feet Under" as the gay undertaker.  I actually thought he was gay at first.  Then I wrote about his ex-wife who is a Broadway star.

From "Six Feet Under" I follow Michael to "Dexter" (blood spatter analyst for police department) even those initially the show seemed a little bloody for my taste.  Forget the blood and guts, the acting, writing and supporting cast is spectacular.  If you watched Michael in "Six Feet Under" and thought he was great, you won't believe how much better he is in "Dexter."

Yes, Dexter Morgan is a serial killer, but he's a good one.  If you can believe that.  Last season, which just ended, was more shocking and fingernail biting then any of the others.  Although it is sad what happened, it opens the possibilities for Dexter Morgan to grow in a variety of new directions.

When I read that Michael C. Hall, who spectacularly plays Dexter Morgan, had announced he is treatment for cancer, I was worried.  Michael C. Hall is only 38 years old and hopefully has an amazing career ahead of him.  Also, he recently married beautiful brunette Jennifer Carpenter who actually plays his sister on the hit Showtime series.

Luckily Michael C. Hall announced his cancer is in remission and that it is a type of cancer (Hodgkins lymphoma) which is imminently treatable and curable.   The cancer of the lymphatic system has the potential for full recovery and a long life span for it's victims.

Craig Bankey, a spokesman for the actor, said the cancer is in complete remission and Hall's treatment will continue as planned.

The name of the Los Angeles-area health facility where Michael C. Hall has undergone treatment was not released.  Neither was the date he was diagnosed with the disease.  Hall's spokespeople have said the actor and his wife, Jennifer Carpenter, plan to attend the upcoming Sunday's Golden Globe awards and the upcoming Screen Actors Guild ceremony.

It's not surprising that Hall is a nominee at both award shows for his role as Dexter Morgan.  Bankey said Hall will return to production on the drama's fifth season later this year.

In Allure's 12/99 Makeover Of The Month the client went into the Hair salon as a blonde & came out a brunette minus 5 inches of hair. Beware...this can happen to anyone!
