Banishing Bad Hair Days since 1997!™

Hair accessory guru Henning Deichmann

I've been passionate about hair accessories from a very young age, assigning great value to my limited collection of headbands and pony clips. When I was honored with an invitation to pledge Alpha Xi Delta sorority at the University of Missouri in St Louis, a whole new appreciation of hair accessories quickly followed.

The official flower of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority was the pink rose, which was often worn in the hair at rush parties, fund raisers and other formal events. My Alpha Xi big sister was a hair accessory fashionista and instantly started plopping an array of jaws, claws, pelicans and pony elastics onto my tresses. She also taught me how to crochet bun warmers, snoods and pony twists.

My interest in hair accessories continued to evolve from that point forward. During a trip to France in the late 80s I was charmed by the gorgeous hand crafted cellulose collections I discovered adorning the tresses of European women. By the time HairBoutique.com was launched I had become acquainted with some of the stunning Evita Peroni collection of accessories which was created by Henning Deichmann.

I discovered that Henning came up with the idea of a concept for women that celebrated beauty, excitement, color and passion in 1988 while sitting at Kulhus which was an old manor house in a forest north of Copenhagen. Henning's inspiration for the Evita Peroni collection evolved from his magnificent surroundings at the time. The beauty of nature, the timeless architecture of the surrounding building sand the power of his surroundings inspired Henning.

Kulhus is a magical place. It was built in 1769 and has a long history. It has also housed many famous people in its time, including Hans Christian Andersen, who upon one of his visits fell in love with the daughter of the house. He too became so inspired by the surroundings that he wrote a poem about it.

Starting with an idea while based in Copenhagen, Henning built Evita Peroni into a worldwide brand for the woman who was searching for stylish, fashionable and exclusive accessories made from the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship from all corners of the world.

From Evita Peroni's first offices in Copenhagen it has expanded to offices in London, Hong Kong and San Francisco. Although the company has expanded Internationally, it has managed to retain its roots.

Not only did I fall madly in love with the Evita Peroni accessories, I developed a great respect and admiration for Henning for his brilliant business success as a hair accessory guru. Henning's philosophy is that women love to change their look as quickly as they change their mood. Evita Peroni accessories are designed for women who are confident, feminine and has a heightened sense of individuality.
