Even
though she is not yet 21, outspoken Sagittarian Scarlett Johansson
(November 22, 1985) has already had a stellar
acting career when she was still quite young.
She has had the great
fortune to act with some of the most talented leading men in
Hollywood including Bill Murray in Lost In Translation and John
Travolta in A Love Song For Bobby Long.
It all started when she was 12 and
Robert Redford selected her to be in The Horse Whisperer. She
also has worked with Billy Bob Thornton in The Man Who Wasn't There.
Although a native New
Yorker, Scarlett Johansson has adopted the essence
of
true Hollywood glamour. Her tresses are
always coiffed to give her an alluring yet edgy
look. Even more importantly, her hairstyles are
constantly changing.
Scarlett explained her
constant hairdo changes in an interview with Bazaar
Magazine (January 2005) explained "I like to look
different all the time".
The
actress who hates anything boring has a classic oval-shaped face that
allows her to wear an ever changing array of gorgeous
styles.

She recently appeared at the premiere of A Love Song
For Bobby Long wearing her flaxen strands pulled
softly
back from her glamorous face and done up in a
series of skillfully created edgy braids. The look was
spectacular and was similar to a tied hairstyle that
Jennifer
Aniston made famous some years ago.

The braids were a
complete
departure from the sophisticated and sleek Audrey
Hepburn chignon that she wore to The Cannes Film
Festival.
Maxim recently announced their
Hot 100 for 2005 and the sassy golden blonde came in as Number 24.
The Maxim Hot 100, for anyone
not familiar with this impressive list, chooses 100 of the most
successful women of the year in film, television, music and fashion.
All the women that make it onto the Maxim list have a ton of media buzz as well as
breakout beauty with a promise of great careers
ahead.
Steal
Scarlett's Braided Look
Step 1: Shampoo
hair with a moisturizing product that is ideal for
your hair's texture, type and current condition.
Follow with an appropriate rinse-out conditioner.
Note: Scarlett's
hair is heavily highlighted and subjected to lots of
studio lights that can be drying for the hair.
A moisture enhancing treatment formula or a color
maintenance product would be a great option to
consider.
(Shampoo products to
try:
Phyto - Phytojoba Hydrating Shampoo,
PHYTO - Dry Hair System,
Phyto - PhytoBrush
Shampoo)
Step 2: Rinse well with a cool
water rinse which helps build natural volume and
increase shine.

Step 3: Towel
blow strands. Detangle strands from the ends
to the roots.
Step 4: Use a
blow dryer with a
round brush to dry hair straight.
Step 5: Seal the style by finishing up
with a blast of cool air, if possible, from the blow
dryer.
Step 6: Take a 2-inch wide
section of hair in the front of the hairline, near
the center part of your forehead. Loosely smooth the hair
in a sweep up towards the right side of your head. Secure
the hair against the scalp with bobby pins.
Step
7: Using your fingers pick
up a 2-inch section of
hair from above your right ear and divide it into
three equal chunks of hair.
Step 8: Smooth the hair and
create a traditional three strand braid. Hold two of
the chunks in your left
hand and one chunk in your right hand.

Take the outermost
section
in your right hand and cross it over the middle
piece in your left hand, grabbing onto it with your left hand so it
becomes the new middle piece. Then take the
outermost piece in your left hand and cross it over
the new middle piece, grabbing onto it with your
right hand.
Step 9: Repeat these braiding
steps until you reach approximately one inch
from your ends. Experiment with leaving longer of
shorter "tails" or ends to create a
funkier look. Secure with a
Blax or
similar hair friendly elastic.
Step 10:
Working directly
across your head from the first braid separate a 2-inch section
of
hair from above your left ear and divide it into
three equal sections. Repeat the braiding steps
listed above.
Step 11: After the first two
braids are created and secured, separate the
remaining hair at the back of your head into either
two or three sections of hair that is the same
thickness as the first two braids. Braid each
new section..
Keep in mind that the
goal of this style is to have a series of equally
spaced braids with the same amount of hair in each
braid distributed around your head.
Step 12: When finished, take the
"tail" of each braid and loop it upwards towards the
scalp. Secure it tightly in place with
two or
three bobby pins. Experiment with
different ways of looping the finished braids.
Step 13:
Finish with a spritz of hairspray. For touchable
braids, choose a soft
or flexible hold formulation that provides subtle
support without the stiffness.

PhytoPro - Instant Hold
Spray #15,
Rene Furterer - Instant
Hold Finishing Spray,

Step 14:
Apply a tiny drop of shine serum, drops or spray
into the balms of your hands. Lightly brush
the palms over the top of your style and you are
ready to rock ala Heather Locklear style..

sizzling actress who won kudos for Sofia
Coppola's "Lost in Translation" and "The Girl
With The Pearl Earring" to win some major awards
for her work.

fictional account of the 1947 murder of
Hollywood actress Elizabeth Short. |
