Introduction

Eve

Eve Jihan Jeffers was born on November 10th, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Like her astrological sign, Scorpio, Eve is deep, mysterious and magnetically attractive.  The talented rapper, actress and media star cleverly utilizes a vast array of hair hues and styles to maintain her alluring and secretive image alive.

The famous rapper (known as the First Lady of The Ruff Ryders) is proud to be a Scorpio and her 2001 CD, Scorpion, was released to good reviews

The follow-up, Scorpion, was released in 2001 to good reviews, and the second single, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" (with Gwen Stefani of No Doubt) became a pop success, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Eve is widely admired for her rapping.  Famous for her brilliant ability to speak the language of gesture, Eve's career has skyrocketed. Whether you love her or not, you have to respect her raw ambition, talent and drive.

Cashing in on her intense sexuality, the ambitious performer started her career as an exotic dancer to get her foot in the right doors.

Over the years Eve has utilized hairstyles that have ranged from super short to long and lush.  The edgy beauty is also a fashion trendsetter and famous for her "bling".

The planet Mars with its fiery red hue is the co-ruler of Scorpio and Eve has shown a fondness for vibrant red hues.  Even when the enigmatic performer adopts darker strands, as she did recently at the Mercedes Benz Fall 2006 LA Fashion Week there is usually a hint of auburn, merlot or cherry red blended into the mix.

Steal Eve's Loose Waves

Eve - 01-18-06

Eve has worked with the famous hairdresser Suzette Boozer who has transformed Eve into some of her most spectacular hair looks.

Suzette has reported that she always uses a good holding spray, gel or cream before she curls Eve's hair.  This is to make sure that the curls and waves she creates have staying power and last from shampoo to shampoo.

Suzette likes to use a good spray wax along with an oil sheen product to protect hair from any heat damage.

The rapper's famous hairdresser has been known to wash and condition Eve's hair with hot oil.  She also will press Eve's hair with a pressing wax before trimming the ends and spiral curling it with a medium-sized barrel iron.

To achieve a full-bodied look, Suzette winds hair upwards and around the curling iron.  She finishes by finger-shaping Eve's styles in place for a softer finish.

Follow Suzette's lead and make your own curls last longer by gently finger-combing them into shape rather than brushing or combing them away.

Eve - 10-19-05

Eve loves to wear a series of gorgeous wigs and add-on hair pieces.  You or your hairdresser can help you successfully add a PutOnPieces pony so that you can have a similar sleek Eve style.

Depending on your face shape, hair texture and type, work with your stylist to select whether you should go with bangs or no bangs.

Eve is famous for her array of edgy and interesting frontal fringes and bangs.

Step By Step Instructions

Follow the steps listed below to steal Eve's sassy waves:

1.  To duplicate Eve's soft 2006 waves, shampoo hair with a product designed to address your hair's special needs.  If you color, highlight or chemically treat your hair, select a shampoo that supports those treatments.  If you prefer, use a dilution formula or a conditioning only (CO) treatment.

2.  Apply the appropriate rinse-out conditioners.  (Avoid if hair is super thin or fine).

3.  Finish with a cool/cold water rinse to close cuticles and encourage natural shine.

4.  Towel blot and apply very light cocktail of desired leave-in detangler, conditioner or styling products (firm holding mousse or gel).

5. For extra control along the bangs, crown and sides, apply a firm holding hair cream or sculpting gel.

6.  Blow dry hair with blow dryer with long finger diffuser. If hair is naturally curly or wavy, apply a  balm like Phytodefrisant or similar to damp strands to prevent frizz.

7.  Use the diffuser's long fingers to lift sections of hair and allow them to rest in the bowl of the diffuser as you dry the selected sections.

8.  Work in small sections around the entire perimeter of your head until all of the curls have been diffused dry.

9.  When hair is 100% dry, use fingers or wide tooth hair pick to separate and refine waves.

10.  For more definition, apply a tiny bit of hair wax to the palms of your hands.  Soften the wax and then using your fingers, lightly apply to waves to add definition.

11.  If desired use a curling iron to spot curl random sections.

12.  Apply a shine serum, drops or spray to the palms of your hands shine product to add shimmer.  Distribute into the palms and then lightly and carefully brush over the top of your new waves.

13.  Spray well with a soft hold hairspray.

14.  Attach an elegant hair flower, jeweled barrette or other chic hair accessory to complete the look.

Finish your look by adding appropriate accessories such as earrings, necklaces and where desired, hair accessories.  Scale them to work with the length and size of the finished spiked hairstyle.

Summary

Eve is a hair chameleon easily moving through a vast array of hairstyles, lengths and hues.  This fabulous rapper's hair styles reflect Eve's daring and inventive personality and lifestyle.
