Rebecca Alie Romijn (born November 6, 1970) is a California girl
born in Berkeley. Her name is pronounced Romaine like
the popular lettuce.
The tall (5'10") blonde, blue-eye beauty was a natural for the
world of modeling which she pursued by dropping out of UC at Santa
Cruz.
She has told the media her modeling career "happened very
quickly" when she dropped out of school, moved to Paris and snagged
a cover of Elle.
The rest is history with the gorgeous beach blonde snagging
covers on all the major fashion mags, posing for Sports Illustrated
and snagging two famous husbands.
Her first marriage to John Stamos ended in 2005 after seven
years. She then married actor Jerry O'Connell in 2007.
On December 28, 2008, Rebecca and Jerry welcomed fraternal twin

Although Rebecca had a recurring role on ABC's Ugly Betty she
left to have her adorable little girls. For the Fall 2009 TV
season she stars as witch Roxie Torcoletti on ABC's Eastwick
which is an adaptation of the John Updike novel The Witches
of Eastwick and its 1987 film which starred Cher and Jack
Nicholson.
Rebecca has been out helping to promote the TV show to ensure
it's future and recently popped up on Ellen to talk about her latest
role.
The beautiful blonde appeared on Ellen with her hair pulled
tightly offer her face into a crown level ponytail which was bone
straight but flirty and boncy.
Ellen told Rebecca "you look great and you've had babies, and you
don't look like you've had babies." Rebecca smiled "well I had
babies nine months ago, two little girls, Dolly and Charlie and
they're so fun." She continued "they're so fun, they're
starting to get teeth, they're starting to talk, Charlie's starting
to say Momma and Babba."
Rebecca said "they're getting so cute and I had this fantasy when
I had two little girls that they were just going to be wearing
matching outfits and have little bows in their hair. She
paused, these girls wrestle and pull whatever I put in their hair
out and it goes directly into their mouth, whatever babies are not
supposed to do, they do."
She also said "they play bumper cars all day long" in their
little baby walkers.

When talking about naming one of her daughter's Dolly, she said
"Dolly was named after Dolly Parton. I'm a lifelong fan of
Dolly Parton's...she's fantastic. I have incredible emotional ties
to her music. My mom always played her music when I was a kid.
So my mom and my sister and I have always adored her."
Dolly said "And I had an opportunity to meet her when I was six
months pregnant and I saw her perform at Dollywood and right before
her show I sat with her and she asked me what I was thinking of
naming my daughters and I said 'I'm thinking about Dolly for one' of
them."
Rebecca told Ellen "I was a little embarrassed to say it.
And she (Dolly) said 'I would be so honored, Dolly's the name I was
given, it's not short for anything. I didn't have children of
my own and I would be so honored, please do that, please do that'.
Rebecca said she was like 'oh my god' and then Dolly "at the show
dedicated (the song) Little Sparrow to 'her new friend
Rebecca and her little girls.'
The actress told Ellen "I was a puddle, like a puddle. Like
a puddle. And the whole way back to the airport, which was in
Knoxville, Tennessee which was about an hour and a half drive I was
trying to tell my husband over the phone what had just happened, but
I couldn't, I was gasping for air."
She continued "so he could tell I was incredibly emotionally and
he said at the end 'you want to name one of our girls Dolly don't
you?' He said 'done, fine, we can do it'. Rebecca said
she would "never forget" the dedication to her little girls from
Dolly.

Rebecca said her husband Jerry "started studying for the LSATs"
(which are required to get into law school) when she was pregnant.
The couple knew Rebecca would be going back to work acting and Jerry
would be taking care of the girls for a little while.
Rebecca told Ellen "Jerry can't just sit around and be an "idle
person" and "he's always got to be occupied with something."
Rebecca said "he was so nervous the morning I was giving birth,
he was literally in the hospital room with his surgical mask just
anxious beyond belief his nose buried in his LSAT books, and he was
actually studying, I didn't believe it, but he was."
Now that the babies are nine months Jerry is going to school at
night and takes care of the babies during the day.
When talking about The Witches of Eastwick Rebecca told
Ellen "I'm a witch, all three of us are witches." She said she
and the other two witches don't know yet they're witches because its
early on in the series and "we're just starting to discover our
power and we're not sure how we fell about them yet."
Ellen asked "do you believe there are witches?" Rebecca
said "I believe that..yes and no...I believe in putting something
out there in The Universe and asking for it to come back. There's a
certain amount of power in putting something out there. It's
like the Secret."
When the beauty appeared on The Tonight Show With Conan
O'Brien she said about the show....
"We're having a fantastic time, the show's great. The
material is so fun and challenging, I can't wait to get to work
every day," she told The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien.
Rebecca also said "playing a witch is a fantasy for a girl like
playing a superhero is a fantasy for a guy. Your powers are
limitless. I dressed up as a witch for Halloween probably three
times when I was a kid. It's fun."

Although Rebecca the actress often wears her hair in a dizzying
array of textures and styles ranging from straight to ringley
infused wavy, up to down and different lengths, Roxie Torcoletti
wears her hair more tousled.

Roxie alternates her hairstyles with a variety of loose, sassy
natural texturized looks ranging from
soft, barely there waves, to a more polished half up/half down style
with more defined curves.

She also piles her ringlet waves up in a loose messy twist when
she's doing her sculpting.
Both Rebecca and Roxie are blondes with gorgeous multi-layered
highlights and lowlights interwoven throughout the dark golden
blonde base.
Although it's expected for California girl Rebecca to rock blonde
tresses, her Roxie character in Eastwick is considered the town
vixen, a widow whose husband died under mysterious circumstances.
Ultimately Rebecca's hair as Roxie is perfect for her role as the
emerging witch in a small enchanted/haunted town.

1. Start by selecting a shampoo and conditioner with a color safe formula
like the Phyto Colored Hair System,
to
preserve any blonde highlights or
lowlight hues.
If your hair is chemically
treated or colored like Rebecca's hair,
onsider using a color appropriate shampoo like
Rene Furterer Okara
Repairing Shampoo
or select a shampoo that works with your
current texture, type and condition of hair. Eliminate dry
strands with
J.F. Lazartigue Micro Pearl Shampoo for Dry hair.
2
Apply a rinse out conditioner that works for your hair's normal
texture, type and condition. Consider trying a color co-ordinated
mask such as
Okara Restructuring and Protective Radiance Mask to intensify your existing color. Avoid using the
conditioner on super fine hair or near the roots.
3. Finish with a cool/cold rinse to close the cuticle and help add
natural shine.
4. Towel blot (never rub or rough dry) to remove excess water.
5. Coat damp strands with your favorite customized styling product cocktail
containing styling tools such as a
defrisant, volume
building
mousse, gel or other styling products that work
best with your hair texture and type.
Detangle working slowly from the
ends to the roots. Create desired part. Rebecca tends to
wear either a center or off-center part.
6. Blow dry using a
large round boar's bristle brush (shown to the side -
Conair Round Brush) for strong, lasting support. Direct
the air flow down from the roots towards the end to build in shine
and smooth strands.
7. Use fingers to lightly pick and lift near the roots for desired volume
and lift while using a round brush to lightly roll the ends of the hair under.
8. When hair is 100% dry use a tail comb or brush to create
the desired part.
Separate hair into individual 2" sections
and set on medium sized hot rollers, or curl with a medium sized
curling iron to add movement to the strands.
Curling Without Hot Rollers
If curling with a curling iron, after working with each
section, roll the newly formed curl with your fingers up towards
your scalp and pin into place to allow the curl to cool completely.
Work around the entire head until all sections have been curled and
pinned to the scalp. Spritz lightly with a soft hold hairspray.
Curling With
Hot Rollers
If curling with hot rollers, let the curlers completely cool before
removing. Once all the rollers have been released, let new curls
dangle free before styling. Spritz lightly with a soft hold
hairspray.
9. Use your fingers and/or a boar's head brush to lightly break up
the curls and arrange into a soft finished halo of bouncy waves that
terminate into a slight curl at the tips.
Apply a small drop of
shine serum
to the tips of your fingers and massage into the palms of your
hands. Lightly brush your serum infused palms over the top of
the finished hairstyle.
If you prefer, use a shine spray product and spray
into the palms of your hands and then glide over finished style.
Another option is to
finish the look with a long lasting
hairspray for a silky shine effect.
Summary
Rebecca Romijn is fabulous in her role as Roxie on ABC's The
Witches Of Eastwick. In fact, the entire cast is amazing but
she ties it all together as the sassy, sexy blonde widow with a hot
younger boyfriend.
Besides her role on Witches Rebecca continues to maintain her
leading lady status in Hollywood with roles in a number of prominent
film and television projects. In addition to her starring role as
Roxie -- a free spirited artist who is discovering her inner-witch
-- she recently wrapped production on the feature film “The Love
Child,” opposite Donald Sutherland and Sarah Roemer.
