Step 1: Shampoo and condition your hair with your normal products
designed for your current hair type, texture and condition.
If your hair is naturally curly or chemically processed or highlighted like
Claudia use either a moisture enhanced or color enriched formula. If your hair is dry from chemical processing, consider diluting the shampoo formula to protect your strands.
Shampoo products to try: Phyto - Phytojoba Hydrating Shampoo, PHYTO - Dry Hair System, Phyto - PhytoBrush Shampoo.
If you have baby fine or thin hair and wish to build in the same lush
movement and volume that Claudia has, use a volume enhancing shampoo.
Skip any rinse-out conditioning products that might make hair too soft and flat. If you must use a rinse-out conditioner, make sure that you limit how much you use and that you concentrate on the middle to the ends. Rinse well with a cool water spray which helps build natural volume and increases shine.
Step 2: Towel blot strands. Do not rub wet
hair which is more fragile and can break. Detangle strands from the ends to the roots.
Step 3: Apply your favorite
mousse or texture defining cream and/or defrizzing balm. Distribute from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well. If you prefer,
create a mix that combines the mousse or cream with the defrisant
and/or leave-in. This is known as cocktailing in the hair
trade.

If your hair is fine or thin, apply a volumizing gel or similar products to the roots to get lots of body and movement.
To protect against heat and add body, distribute a leave-in conditioner, mousse or gel from the top of the ears to the ends. Distribute well.
Anti-Frizz Product to try: Rene Furterer - Control Emulsion Anti-Frizz) Root volume products to try: Phyto - Phytovolume Actif, PHYTO - Volume System, Phyto - Phytovolume Shampoo).
Step 4: Separate towel blotted strands into
2" sections. Working from side to side, allow strands to
nestle into the basin of a long finger diffuser allowing air flow to
move through the strands evenly.
Step 5: Once hair is completely dry, separate
into 3" sections. Spray each individual section with a good
setting spray or hairspray. Roll individual sections with
large hot rollers or if you prefer, use self adhesive rollers or
large sponge rollers. To achieve tighter curls, you may wish
to spritz hair before rolling with self adhesive or sponge rollers
with a fine water mist.
Step 6: All hot rollers to cool before unrolling.
If you decide to use self adhesive or foam rollers, sit under a
bonnet or hood style dryer to make sure misted hair is completely
dry.

Step 7: When hair is completely dry, remove each
curler one section at a time. Use fingers to lightly
pick each section and gently pull to loosen curls. Do not use a brush or comb which
may flatten the newly formed twisted sections.
Step 8: Use a medium
barrel curling iron to touch up random sections or to form more
uniform curls.
Step 9: To create Claudia's look from her
35th birthday party (top of article), use a brush or fingers to
smooth back the hair on either side of the face. Use fingers
to lift up equal sections of hair from the sides and also from the
front of the head.
Pull all three sections of hair (front, both sides) back toward the
top of the crown. Smooth the three sections and lightly push
the section to add a full "bump".
Secure with pins the same color of hair. Arrange the rest
of the hair in back to cascade down from the crown section in loose
curls.
Optional looks include creating a side part like her style for
The Love Of Music Party and directing a large section of hair up and
over to one side and tucking the other side behind the ear. Or
create a center part and directing all the hair down around the
shoulders.
Play with your curls to create your own custom Claudia Jordan
hairstyle.
Step 10: After you have created your desired
hairstyle spray the
finished look with a good holding hairspray.
(Hairsprays to try: PhytoPro - Instant Hold Spray #15).
Step 11: Apply a tiny drop of shine serum, drops or spray into the palms of your hands. Lightly brush the palms over the top of your style and you are ready to rock.
(Shine products to try: Phyto - PhytoLisse (Formerly Phytodefrisant RelaxSerum).
For looser curls, use either larger sections of hair or larger
rollers. For tighter curls, use smaller rollers and/or smaller
sections of hair.
Summary
Claudia Jordan is a breathtaking beauty with a
career on fire. She is Model #1 on Deal or No Deal and has
become a major fan favorite. She also snags guest hosting jobs
on shows like TV's popular extra. Coming soon she will have
her own radio show known as Sexless In The city.
